Let's talk about AI and how it's going to change medicine in our country. AI can help gather information quickly but is it going to also gather some bad information?

AI by itself will reduce the need for a large number of doctors to cover the need to physically see most patients by sorting the ones that actually need an in person appointment from those that don't. A single doctor will be able to oversee and manage more patients than if all had to be seen in person and concentrate on more intensive care for those that actually require it.

This will reduce current strains on the system.

As robotics continues to progress AI controlled robotic medical workers will be able to replace most medical personnel and reduce the need for semi skilled and skilled workers as we have now which will reduce the current worker shortages so that costs will be reduced (people work for expensive dollars but robots are happy with a few cheap electrons).

This will reduce current strains on the system.

Add in factors such as an AI being able to add all of your activities and diet to your medical records then make sure you only do and eat that which it approves for you based on what is best for your medical conditions, costing very little to do this, and we can see how we are on the imminent edge of a brave new era in medical care, one in which every member of society is fully insured against health problems and kept in the best possible health no matter what his unhealthy inclinations are.

This is my thinking.

AI has the potential to do a lot of good but without some form of human oversight I fear it might also create the kind of "the computer says no" situation where it becomes all but impossible to get a second opinion.

I'm not medically qualified but taking a general systems-level view of how the body works has led me to diagnose a number of problems more accurately than qualified doctors have, on multiple occasions. If the trend to reduce medicine to a question of what drugs are required to make a problem go away then AI will represent a huge step backwards.

It also creates the potential for bad information to be fed into the system and create a feedback loop. Hopefully the conclusion that this bad treatment didn't work would stop it being used, but that doesn't necessarily help the people who may suffer from the consequences of a bad decision. If a human wants to trust "Kevin from Facebook" - the guy who lives in mommy's basement and helps with her essential oils hustle - over a medical professional they are free to do so, but at least they know the source of their information and that it might be worthless. If "Kevin from Facebook" ends up influencing an AI model there's no way of knowing how much damage might be done.

I don't have a problem with it being a GUIDE. It should not be the deciding factor in determining a diagnosis and treatment. Medical history and eyes looking at patient need to be factors in deciding diagnosis.

AI is only as good as the information that it already has. I would not trust my health to AI.

Isn't that mostly true of a human doctor as well? At least in diagnostics if not in specialized skills.

Yeah, I guess that is why my family doctor makes so many referrals out to specialists

That's the way it used to be. A medical industry where the doctor says what can I do for you today? Or where does it hurt? And you tell them and the entire treatment is predicated on feedback from the patient. But it isn't like that any more. Now they go by checklists and dont even hardly listen to the patient. Oh your 60 yrs old? Time for your 60,000 mile checkup and maintenance program and crap like that, because they get federally funded with insane amounts of money to do different things to you.

It's not really health care any more. It's sick care, they want to be sick so they can make big money off of you. I tell them no, I dont want that test or anything, I am ok. If I have any problems then I will tell you about them. They didnt like that but I dont care.

ugh SO true!! I'm due to go for some tests and I'm tired of it. They're just basic tests but do they really have to be yearly?

I often wonder how much of the medical practice today revolves around actual doctor patient relationships and patient health and how much around complying with and conforming to the controlling systems demands, procedures, and organizational structures.

I've noticed large changes taking place over the last ten or so years,, whether for the better or worse I cannot say.

You can deny them. I have done it. They don't own you. Besides, they are not your Primary Care Providers, Jehovah Raphael, the Lord our Healer is.

Besides again, In the Great Commission, what was given to us in our Commission?

They are for the worse, I have been paying attention. And why not? They are doctors and (most of ) their education is not insignificant. But it isn't carved into stone (your diagnosis and treatment options) until you receive it and believe it.

One time I went to the doctor to get refills on my prescription (anti-seizure meds-Epilepsy) and they gave me two prescriptions. A 2nd prescription was added to my case and the Doc didn't even talk to me about it, I had no clue what it was for or why. But I have a $0 co=pay so I got it filled along with my prescription and took it home with me. But before I ingested any of them, I wanted to look them up and see what they were. It was Gabapentin or something like that and those are anti-depressants. What? What for? I've never been depressed one day of my life! Some days are good days and some days have been bad days and I have troubles and difficulties in life like anyone else, but I don't go into emotional meltdown over it, lol! Roll with the punches and tomorrow is another day. So I did not take even one f them and flushed them all down the toilet.

Eventually I was in for a refill again and they said something about has the Gabapentin been helpful to me? I said no, I never took even one of them when I found out what they were. Well have you been depressed? No, what do I have to be depressed about? I'm retired and don't have to go to work tomorrow!! And now every single time I go to the doc for anything, they ask me if I have been depressed. No, what makes you think that? Next trip, have you been depressed? (No), next trip trip, have you been depressed? (Don't you people write anything down? I said NO).

Why do they want me on anti-depressants? They've shown that they will even be devious and attempt to get me on that medication! There is clearly an agenda behind that. Now that I'm on SSDI I guess they think they own me and I'm supposed to fall in line with them until I die...Bwahahahahaha! Now that's funny!

I actually stopped going to that so called primary care doctor. I wound up having to punch some young arrogant Doctor in the face with truth one time and that was funny, but is a story for a different post.

They don't want to do Health Care, they want to Sick Care so they can make zillions of dollars off of you.

One time, the time I insulted the young doctor, when the doctor came into the room where I was waiting, it was an older doctor and he asked me if it was alright for them to bring in some interns so they can observe. Hesitantly, I said ok. And about 6 or 8 interns filed in AND a young Doctor, looked fresh out of med school. Now the older doctor stood down and was to let the young handle it and observe him and so forth.

And this young doctor started off on a med school tangent about my case, and even suggested trying different medicines (even though I had been seizure free. So I knew that the doc could only have read my chart and really knew very little about my case. So I felt compelled to give him some background on me and my case. Besides, I could get a doctor's opinion on the MJ that I was also a user of and it helped me to stay seizure free.
At about 35, I had been seizure free for 18 years, and a smoker of MJ. I was at the age of, that is a young man thing, I should and want to quit smoking MJ. I did quit. 3 days later I had my first seizure in 18 years. So I started smoking MJ again (I had to drive for my living).
11 years later I began to doubt that smoking MJ really helped me stay seizure free. So I quit smoking MJ again. It was prolly a fluke that I had a seizure and besides I like being clear headed and wanted to set the MJ down and quit smoking it (again). 4 days later I had a seizure, and I was even on the medication for it again. That one almost killed me.

But the young doctor did not let me tell him all that, when he heard the term MJ...he sort of freaked out on me and talking down to me, like I was an idiot. He started talking about his medical credentials, lol.
So I cut him off! And said waitaminute, do you think that you can come up here and read my chart for two minutes and know more about my case than me?! I have lived with this all my life pretty much 24/7 so I am the one who can tell you the most about me. Who do you think you are? I respect your medical credentials and education, but don't you even pretend to know more about me and my case that I have always lived with. You don't go changing someone's treatment prescription without even asking, has it been working for you? I went off on the young man!

And that young doctor got very offended and stood up and walked out of the room, amidst a lot of giggling from the interns (and older Doctor!). After the young guy left, the older Doctor said to me, you're right, the Medical profession operates on Patient Feedback, and he should have listened to you...

They don't own me. They can't do anything to me unless I agree. (or am unconscious!) Jesus is my Primary Care Provider. Doctors are only human and make mistakes and even lie at times. They want patients, they want to make big money. When Doctors speak death over you (or something bad which needs treatment, which is death in it's fruition) treat it like a curse and reject it immediately. The Lord is my healer first and foremost.

I heard a testimony from Andrew Wommack where he went to his doctor and the doc said you're at that age where we should check your heart. And the doc sent Andrew to do one of those Treadmill tests. So andrew went and did the Treadmill test and the doctor (Specialist! LOL!!) came back in with the print out and started looking at it and was hmming and ohh, and he turned around and said Andrew, I see a serious problem, you need to go here and there and get these two more tests done We might do open heart surgery on you today to save your life...

Now if you know anything about Andrew Wommack, he is all about the Lord and healing. Andrew already knew that he had entered into life with the Lord. So he looked at the Doctor and said, That's a Lie. And the doctor started trying to explin himself and the scribbles on the printout and stuff and said, and I'm very sure that you have a serious problem, butit is true that you might be one of those people who blahblahblah and you might fine, but even so, go get these tests done. So Andrew said no, that's a lie from the pit of hell and I wont believe you.
So the Doctor tore up the paper and said, ok then get out...(Lol!)

A few months later Andrew was at a different Doctor's and He told him about the Treadmill test and that the Doctor had said that he prolly needs open heart surgery...and that doctor laughed and he said, those Treadmill tests are only about 50% accurate, don't ever do a Treadmill test unless it is the more advanced test which uses dye injected into your system. So Andrew had the more inclusive Treadmill test done and was told that, he is ok, he has the heart of a 17 year old!

So don't believe everything that your Doctor says. Believe in Jesus instead. When a Doctor speaks curses and death to you, reject it and do not receive it or believe it. Besides. if the Lord wants to take me home and I die, to die is to gain and if I do die, I'll be with the Lord, so where is the problem? I'm healthy and I speak life over myself because I trust in Jesus's words. I trust Jesus, and no man...no Doctor.

I think they're very fast to push anti-depressants! They did it to my husband when he moved to his new job and was alone for 2 months until I sold our home and moved out here to be with him. They did it to my dad too when he said he couldn't sleep. I think both my husband and dad used them for 2 months and said no more.

When I go in for my thyroid exams, my Endo has to ask if I'm depressed or have anxiety because that could indicate if I'm getting too little or too much thyroid replacement hormones.

I was talking to my brother and he went to the doctor for pain pills because he was a little bit busted up from it and they gave him Gabapentin. He took some thinking it was a pain pill so went back and said they dont work, and they said they should help...and he did sto taking them, but you may be right, they want everybody on anti-depressants. That's spooky, what do they have up their sleeve with wanting everyone on anti depressants? Future legislation that will not be good for Americans?

All of a sudden one day it might be, if you've ever been on anti-depressants then you can't have the right to own a gun anymore?
Or something like that?
If you look up medicine out of the Bible, it translates to witchcraft. So in a sense, the witch doctors have taken over the United States. In no way do I trust the medical industry any more. I'm almost done with doctors.
