As a businessman, the practice of shaking hands has been significantly reduced.
This practice (going back to the middle ages, I understand - and universal before the pandemic) is no longer universal. Actually, I WAIT to see what the other person does... if THEY reach out their hand, I shake it.... if they don't, I don't reach out mine but simply extend verbal greetings.
I understand that the practice has disappeared in Asia, simply not returning after the pandemic. I don't know what will happen here.... but for NOW, it's uncertain; not the expectation it was.
