It was a bad year for food shortages in 2022, with categories including eggs and baby formula hit hard. Unfortunately, 2023 could see its own batches of food shortages. Here’s what consumers should start stocking up on now before prices soar and products likely become harder to find on store shelves:

Baby Formula is on that list and has been something that is difficult to find in my area, especially for babies on a specific type. Parents are asking in local online groups for help.

Nothing particular so far. Egg prices are way down on what they have been, even if off their recent lows. We recently stocked up on chicken because we found a couple of family packs that were 50% off. They were short-dated but that's OK - we can divide the big packs into smaller packs and they go in the freezer until we need them.
