    Buddhist Beliefs

You mentioned the evangelical "tradition". To be fair though, you can't claim Catholics have no tradition which deviates from the scriptures. But of course you will not admit that because you have strong beliefs. Any impartial neutral observer would look at your faith and tell you you hold...

    Buddhist Beliefs

Sure. Let's start here: what type of Christian are you? Protestant? Catholic? Anything else?

    Buddhist Beliefs

No, but neither is Catholicism. However, Evangelical Christianity sticks to the Bible more than any other form of Christianity, and so you would have to say that God's revelation isn't a revelation from God if you want to tout Buddhism on a Christian website.

Have you read Tobit, Judith, Sirach, Wisdom, and so forth?

Na, it's okay, I trust the standard view and not the view of some obscure dude who says "Almost every "fact" given is incorrect" without a shred of evidence to support it, since it's just an assertion based on a subjective belief. It's hard to even understand how anybody could struggle with the...

Have you read Tobit, Judith, Sirach, Wisdom, and so forth?

This is what Microsoft Pilot says to my question, "did Paul use the Septuagint?" - Yes Yes, the Apostle Paul did use the Septuagint (LXX) as a source for his writings. He quoted from the Septuagint more than a hundred times in his letters, indicating that he relied on this Greek translation of...

Have you read Tobit, Judith, Sirach, Wisdom, and so forth?

You can check out the facts for yourself. The Jews of Jesus' day were reading the Septuagint. That is a fact.

Have you read Tobit, Judith, Sirach, Wisdom, and so forth?

This is wrong for a number of reasons. The Jews had been reading the Septuagint for over 200 years before Jesus existed, and Paul and the rest of the New Testament authors used the Septuagint translation. I think based on this fact alone, everything else you said is wrong.

Have you read Tobit, Judith, Sirach, Wisdom, and so forth?

The KJB came a long time after Luther, who translated the Bible into common German. The addition of the Apocryphal books in 1612 was not put into the Bible because the publishers and translators thought it was inspired by God directly but because it was part of an already existing canon.

How do you practice forgiveness when the relationship can't be restored?

You don't. You forgive them in your heart and leave them alone.

The worst thing about where I live is the car noise and people that cough when I walk past them.

Have you read Tobit, Judith, Sirach, Wisdom, and so forth?

So are you a KJV only person? I have read about the manuscript issues from David Cloud's materials online. I was saved reading the KJB. I don't think I'd go as far as KJV only but there are some real problems involved with regard to those Alexandrian manuscripts. What was really off putting...

I really don't understand how what I wrote before has any connection to your reply here.

Have you read Tobit, Judith, Sirach, Wisdom, and so forth?

There is no way of knowing if the writers of the New Testament considered the Apocrypha inspired or not but the early Church did. There's even quite blatant evidence that Paul borrowed some material from the book of Wisdom. Borrowing doesn't denote inspiration, but there's no doubt the early...

    Ye are gods

Obviously I believe Jesus had the Divine nature. So he wasn't just a "mere man". But neither are people mere men when God saves them. "To all who received him, they became the sons of God". This doesn't mean humans become God but that they can unite with Him. This is also known as union with...

    Do you believe in ghosts?:

I've always had precognitive dreams even before God saved me. They continued after that too. Some Christians believe that is demonic. I asked God to take it away if it was, and they continued.
