The married man she had sex with so he would help her in politics.
Josiah said she was half white. I didn’t. She is Jamaican from her father and her mother is from India and she is NOT black.
The Lord Jesus said to search the Scriptures, for they testify of Him. The Maccabean books do not.
I zero what councils say. “The common people heard Him gladly.” The common people accepted the 66 books of Scripture long before heretical Catholics did.
What gives you the right to ask and...
I was not thinking in terms of racism at all.
His words (like Calvin’s actions) show clearly they were little “popes” themselves and hated and persecuted any whom disagreed with them.
Would you, as a Christian speak like Luther or act like Calvin (who was party to Christians being killed)...
The church is Christ’s Bride, not Mary Magdalene.
On the cross, Christ made provision for His mother, but not for MM.
It’s clear for those not consumed with carnality—God in the flesh never engaged in carnality with His creation.
People used to go downtown or to malls and stroll, looking through the windows with no actual intention of buying anything. They would go into some of the stores to get a closer look and still often not buy anything. Just looking. Window-shopping.
And it was mostly a female thing; I suppose...
Christ came to save His people from their sins, by dying and resurrecting, NOT for sexual intercourse.
The Church is the Bride of Christ.
People are so carnal and they try to make God carnal, too.
I believe (and I mean that sincerely—I don’t just toss that out there casually) that in the 66 books of Scripture we have no less and no more than God meant for us to have (see Deuteronomy 29:29).
I’ve read it straight through every year for a number of years, and truthfully, there is more...
I think there is some CONFUSION. The prophesying that I don't believe exists today is FORETELLING the future. We have the Bible for that.
What the office of prophet in the church today is for is FORTHTELLING--that is, "telling forth" the future from the Word of God. In other words, it is...
I understand. But I would.
The Canon is closed, thank God. If we had a thousand books added, how would we study them all. How about 10,000 more? You see what I’m saying. God gave us the right amount.
I totally agree, Stephen, we are under the New Covenant, not the Old. If people want to try to live under the Old, they won’t make Heaven that way, but maybe they will act better on earth, which will make life in general better, maybe.
I don’t “disavow” it. I just don’t want to lie. There are a couple of statements I have issues with—almost all of it I certainly affirm, but not every word.
What I DO believe is the KJB.
