Is it right to ask others to pray for us?

Yes, I attended a funeral a few months ago. Funerals are encouragement to pray for one another both in this life and the next. And yes, I often speak to the faithful departed. And no, we are speaking of the life of Christ in the faithful which is present here on Earth but perfected in heaven.

    Daily prayer ...

That is encouraging. My parish assembles for corporate prayer every day, though it is usually Sundays that are the best attended.

Is it right to ask others to pray for us?

The faithful departed are not dead and even though their bodies do in fact decay or are burned to ashes they themselves are with God in holy communion with him as saints in the heavens who have both love and compassion towards the faithful on Earth because in the communion of heaven love is...

Is it right to ask others to pray for us?

I do not invite discussion of heresy in this thread. It is distressing enough that so much heresy has been brought to the topic of prayer so I want no more to be added.

Is it right to ask others to pray for us?

Seems to me that you either did not read the account about Samuel or that you ignored it because in it communing with the dead is possible even if the means of so doing was forbidden and reprehensible. Nor have you dealt with the massage from second Maccabees. Nor with the passage wherein the...

Is it right to ask others to pray for us?

Holy scripture does not say that. And it has no bearing on asking others to pray for us.

Is it right to ask others to pray for us?

No, I am not interested in dispensationalist eschatology and that is what I am likely to see if you do, right?

Is it right to ask others to pray for us?

Where do the holy scriptures say that? Are you offering another speculative opinion as doctrine?

Is it right to ask others to pray for us?

They may be to you they are not to the faithful. Our Lord Jesus Christ defeated the Sadducee doctrines against no angels and no spirits and no resurrection by noting that God calls himself the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob thus proving that there are in fact spirits in the presence of God and...

Is it right to ask others to pray for us?

Exactly right; opinions matter very little including the opinions you've presented about no awareness of time in heaven (contradicted by Revelation 6:0) and the celebration in heaven over repentant sinners being restricted to angels (not stated in holy scripture) and the apparent attention of...

Is it right to ask others to pray for us?

So quick to ignore and so slow to take note. The point made is that these holy martyrs know of the passage of Earthly time despite the denial in Full O Beans' post.

Is it right to ask others to pray for us?

That you restrict heavenly celebration over the repentance of a sinner to angels alone is another case of your opinions overriding the holy scriptures. No passage says "the angels alone rejoice" yet you say it, right?

Is that snippet quote in your post about heaven or about the resurrection state after the last judgement.

Is it right to ask others to pray for us?

The godly on earth are in communion with the saints in heaven. The creed that we say every day and the holy scriptures teach us this truth of the holy scriptures.
