Praying to the deceased - correlation with those who believe in ghosts?

The Catechism of the Council of Trent has this to say on the matter of invoking the saints. CCT 1991 THE FIRST COMMANDMENT : "I am the lord thy god, who brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. Thou shalt not have strange gods before me. Thou shalt not make to thyself...

    Missing texts... between translations

Many people believe that the KJV is perfect or nearly perfect consequently they do not trust other bibles. I am quite happy to use the KJV but I do not think of it as the pinnacle of biblical scholarship.

    Missing texts... between translations

The idea that they are missing rather than that the ones in the KJV are added comes from assuming that the KJV represents the pinnacle of biblical scholarship but it doesn't. NJB says Matthew 18:11 [For the Son of man has come to save what was lost.]

    World Eyes that see unreality

Governments see things through distorting lenses. Many people do too. Possibly everybody does. God see things as they are. I guess the idea working in Christianity is to get the faithful to see things as they are. It will not happen fully until the resurrection but those in heaven now do see far...

Justification: By OUR works or CHRIST'S works?

Why do you write such things. Isn't it possible that those who disagree with your views do so in good faith with good reasons that do not belittle the Lord or anybody else?

    LAW and GOSPEL

It seems like it is dividing when LAW is somehow all about "self" and what "YOU DO" as we've been told repeatedly in Josiah's posts while GOSPEL is all about Jesus and what he did as we have also been told repeatedly by several posters. Yet the facts of holy scripture are that do and do not...
