Exactly right; opinions matter very little including the opinions you've presented about no awareness of time in heaven (contradicted by Revelation 6:0) and the celebration in heaven over repentant sinners being restricted to angels (not stated in holy scripture) and the apparent attention of...
So quick to ignore and so slow to take note. The point made is that these holy martyrs know of the passage of Earthly time despite the denial in Full O Beans' post.
That you restrict heavenly celebration over the repentance of a sinner to angels alone is another case of your opinions overriding the holy scriptures. No passage says "the angels alone rejoice" yet you say it, right?
The godly on earth are in communion with the saints in heaven. The creed that we say every day and the holy scriptures teach us this truth of the holy scriptures.
Our Lord, Jesus Christ, prays for us in heaven as the holy scriptures say. "Who is to condemn? It is Christ Jesus, who died, yes, who was raised, who is at the right hand of God, who indeed intercedes for us." (Romans 8:34)
The holy martyrs pray about Earthly events and times. "They shouted in...
You see attention on a reward driving out compassionate love for those still on Earth and still suffering. The holy scriptures do not teach this doctrine of yours.
When he opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those who had been slaughtered for the word of God and for the...
Saul's sins were a characteristic of his declining years as king of Israel. He disobeyed Jehovah when he was commanded to destroy Amalek. Hi also broke the law when he consulted a medium. The holy scriptures tell us this and I think that every Christian knows this if they have been well...
If the angels minister for our salvation as God's servants and do his bidding to achieve God's purpose in saving his people then why do you *sigh* at the suggestion that the perfected saints in heaven continue to love and seek that which is good for those whom they love on Earth? It is as if the...
No, Samuel said "why do you consult me?" not "why do you petition me?" there's a trap in those three letters "IOW" because the "other words" are not the words of holy scripture they are the words that people put in the place of the words of holy scripture. The passage ought to be left to say...
I guess you intended to say that their love for us pales into nothing when compared with their love for God when in his presence. I wonder if that can be true when the love of God for us was so great that he humbled himself to become a man, died for the sake of his people, and he did these...
I've never thought of heaven as a loveless place or as a place where those we loved on Earth cease to matter to us. If your view is really what you believe and what your meeting teaches then it is a very unpleasant 'heaven' indeed.
