    Lies are sins it seems, though Ruth was commended in the holy scriptures for telling lies to her own people in order to save the Israelite spies so maybe some circumstances cleans a lie and make it holy. In any case believing what God says about Job and Enoch is not believing a lie.

    I am content to believe what Jehovah said about Job. He was perfect and upright. I also believe what the holy scriptures say about Enoch - that he pleased God and that God took him [to heaven, I presume].

    I know why you've written the above but I wonder if it really has firm roots in the holy scriptures. It reads like a theory of the atonement that is not actually taught in the holy scriptures.

    I didn't say I will not use the word "sinless" I observed that I have not used it about Job. Jehovah calls Job perfect and upright. Is that code for sinful?

    In a court case to recover one's debts the assets that you have, even if never claimed or not known to exist by you, will be used to repay your debts. If they are yours then they are available to pay your debts when the courts orders payment be made.

    If one assumes that the holy scriptures are not self-contradicting then saying that Job is perfect and upright is not contradicting any other statement in the holy scriptures even though it may upset some people's theology.

    He was famous, and that is all that counts now I think. They do not like to spend money to investigate all the other things that happened today. It's cheaper to rehash the "news" about a famous person who died.
