    As long as the discussion is about ideas rather than becoming about the person with whom you're having a discussion it is all good. It gets bad when the posts become about the person and the ideas take the back seat. Then it isn't discussion any more it's just name calling.

    A radio announcer on one of our National Broadcaster channels (Radio National is the channel name) summarised a song by a 1920s Jaz singer as "you either read the bible or go to hell". The song was by Blind Willie Johnson. What do you think of the sentiment expressed in the song?
