    Almost everyone in the neighborhood evacuated except my stubborn parents. I have told them to leave, but they are still there. They said the water has gone down today. Last night was the worst. The water was up to the garage and street flooded. They are hard headed like me.

    I would agree with you on that. I think we have a tendency, perhaps it is part of our fallen nature, to try and be self sufficient. Other voices crowd in and get our attention and cause us to deviate from the path that God wants for us. Those other voices could even be good things like jobs...

    I'm getting a lot of pictures from the Houston area since I grew up north of Houston. My parents backyard is flooded but they are safe. I've never seen it that bad before.
