    Trick-or-Treating do you do candy alternatives?

    Every year we have parents who drive their kids to our neighborhood. It is easy for them because the houses are fairly close to each other. I'm sure we have over 100 every year. Then there are those who think the holiday is Satanic and turn out their lights and don't participate in it at all.

    Evangelism on Halloween

    When our neighbor did this when I was little it just made me want to wrap his trees with toilet paper (what we use to refer to as wrapping a house). I think someone actually did one year. Don't be a jerk and give the kids some candy.

    I don't have the chapter and verse in front of me, but Jesus told his disciples that nobody comes to the Father unless the Father first draws him to himself. People who think we can come to God on our own underestimate the depravity of our fallen nature in my opinion.

    I think pets should be allowed. When I worked in a nursing home we had people who would bring therapy dogs to the facility often to see the residents and they always loved it

    Now that I am diabetic, Halloween is scary for me for a whole different reason. I try not to cheat, but there is often a lot of candy around Reese's Peanut Butter Cups, Crunch Bars or Kit Kat Bars

    There was a preacher guy across the street that use to give out evangelistic tracks for Halloween. I always hated going to his house. He never had anything good. We give out candy at my house.

    Recovery after surgery

    Only surgery I had was minor sinus surgery and that recovery was only a day for that. My wife had her gall bladder taken out and it took about 3-4 days for her to go back to work. We watched cooking shows for three days and she didn't even cook anything. She is normally a good cook however

    It would take a constitutional amendment to legally limit the number of weapons those who are not felons are allowed to carry.
