    Now, For Something Completely Different

WE should be able to agree on this "For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, 4 that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures," 1 Corinthians 15:2-4

Born of water and the Spirit.

YOu must have a lot more time than me. I don't have time to research this right now. But, you just proving my point that there are commentaries out there that don't take your point of view. Which I found is true about almost everything. When I was studying the book of Colossians I found that...

Born of water and the Spirit.

Nicodemus understood Jesus initial words to mean physical birth and that is what caused the confusion with him. He asked how a person could enter into his mother's womb a second time and be born. That indicates he was thinking of a physical birth and understood the first part to mean that. I...

Born of water and the Spirit.

What I am saying is that people in those times were largely uneducated and would not have known to call it that or known what Jesus was talking about if he had.

So your going to post your beliefs and then ridicule anyone that has an opposing belief. Sorry that's not how this works. Your going to have to respect that other people have other valid opinions or me and you are going to have problems. Any Israelites in the 1st century would have understood...

The washing of regeneration and renewal in the Holy Spirit

I already did tell you and you didn't listen, so I am not going to repeat myself. You can't see it because you believe your churches teachings rather than sees what the verses say

The washing of regeneration and renewal in the Holy Spirit

no sir, it does not. it doesn't mention baptism at all. The work of regeneration is a work of the Spirit. Physical water has nothing to do with the verse. Washing implies cleansing.

The washing of regeneration and renewal in the Holy Spirit

So your trying to use this verse to justify that baptism has the quality of saving someone? That isn't what the verse says. it uses the word washing, which could just as likely mean that it has a cleansing effect and not mean physical water at all. The word washing in Titus 3:5 is the...

The Ministry of the Holy Spirit

this is what I was taught it meant in seminary. And if you think about it it makes sense. After all, the fetus when it is developing in the mother's womb is surrounded by water and fluid. When a woman goes into labor her "water breaks". Fluid such as water and blood come out with the baby...

    the Holy Spirit our teacher

He is the one who spiritually appraises us because 1 Corinthians 2:14 says that the natural man does not accept the things of God and that they are foolishness to Him because he is not appraised. I believe this is why many unbelievers don't understand the word of God at all.

The Ministry of the Holy Spirit

Below I have listed some verses and the role of the Spirit that this verse indicates the Spirit does in our lives. Something for us to meditate on and discuss. I feel like the role of the Spirit is so important that we literally can do nothing without Him. 1. John 3:3,5- Jesus said that a...

    the Holy Spirit our teacher

I noticed today 1 John 2:20,27. IN particular verse 27 says "And as for you, the anointing which you received from Him abides in you, and you have no need for anyone to teach you; but as His anointing teaches you about all thiings, and is true and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you...
