That is another good song Cassia and I like the tune better this time. The lyrics are good though some changes would please me better than the lyric that is there. As for worthiness, that is always God's prerogative to judge and decide. The faithful are called to self examination so that they...
Nothing lasts forever, even my absence doesn't last forever :)
MORNING
Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep. John 10:7
The veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom. Matt. 27:51
Christ ... hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that...
Thank you Cassia, That's a nice song. I am not keen on pop style tunes but that is more a matter of taste than anything else. I wish that the lyric was "This is my body. This is my blood" rather than "This is the body. This is the blood" because the former tells me that Jesus is present and that...
Here is a song that is sung in our Mass it is called the gloria. The words of the gloria are these:
Glory to God in the highest,
and on earth peace to people of good
will.
We praise you,
we bless you,
we adore you,
we glorify you,
we give you thanks for your great glory,
Lord God, heavenly...
Our Christian faith is sometimes hard to express in words because it is so deeply felt and so emotionally moving as well as intellectually profound. Sometimes simple songs express the elements that ordinary speech cannot express properly. Singing expresses emotion better than prose and what...
My drains didn't self clean and it took about 1.5 hours to clear the roots that were encroaching from the sewer mains up through the "riser" to my drains. The cost is $239. That's quite a lot but I am glad to have working plumbing again.
I was listening to this song earlier today. In my parish we sing it sometimes during the rite of communion.

It blocked up, it took a while, I first noticed some signs about 4 weeks ago, now it is very blocked and needs a plumber's attention. I am not sure of the cause.
By the way I am in discord chat. :)
The wine for the drink offering had to come from somewhere. It was clearly in the tabernacle when it was offered there. It must have been in the tabernacle immediately before it was offered. Perhaps it was stored within the confines of the tabernacle all the time like it was in the temple.
I do not think that asserting that the Holy Eucharist is symbolic only and that the bread and wine (or grape juice) is just bread and just wine without any physical or any "real presence" that involves anything physical means that the people holding such views think that God is incapable of...
Are you confident of that?
Exodus 29:37-40 NRSV 37 For seven days you shall make atonement for the altar, and consecrate it, and the altar shall be most holy; whatever touches the altar shall become holy. 38 Now this is what you shall offer on the altar: two lambs a year old regularly each...
I often think that people assume that they are "not interpreting just quoting the bible" without giving any serious consideration to why they accept a 66 (or 73) book bible as "the bible". They accept the bible used in their church, denomination, meeting because it has been given to them by...
Well, one's bodily excretions are how one's body self-cleans its insides. Pity the pipes haven't managed to evolve a similar mechanism that would expel their unwanted wastes into the sewer mains.
Anyway I have the plumber coming out this afternoon to do the cleaning thing with their 'machine'...
I believe what Jesus says. If I have doubts I ask for wisdom confident that God will grant it. If I still doubt I remember that Jesus gives his life for me and to me.
