    Should abortion be illegal?

Would be okay, just pay for your flight, bus trip, car ride, or whatever form of transport you take and come back from your trip minus your baby and it is okay with the law? Would that apply if the baby were born before the trip, just go to Mexico or Canada and have the baby killed and come back...

    Salvation

[Let it be known among the elect that ] if you call on him as Father who judges impartially according to each one’s deeds, conduct yourselves with fear throughout the time of your exile, knowing that you were ransomed from the futile ways inherited from your forefathers, not with perishable...

I do not wonder at it, the grace of God is explanation enough for me. I say with my elderly friend Keep calm and carry on. It is good advice when matters become heated.

    Salvation

The fault that you decry is not in my words but in the words of Jesus Christ in Matthew 25:31-46 and in the letter of saint James 2:14-24 and in the teaching of the apostle Peter in 1 Peter 1:1-18. Jesus is Lord and Jesus is saviour and people are judged according to their deeds as the apostles...

Is your creed catholic, Catholic, or Christian?

I am no historian so I have no idea what the Pope of that time (or popes if there were several during the council) said but it is unlikely that the pope would say "Then we have lost ..." and more likely that he might reflect that the matter did not go as well as one could wish. Anyway, it is a...

    Salvation

Jesus is the Lord and saviour and no one else is though others work with Christ for the salvation of souls. Nevertheless the just in Matthew 25:31-46 are just because they did good and the wicked are wicked because they did no good. That is the judgement of the King in the story.

    Transubtantiation and Alchemy?

Only in the minds of people who believed in magic more than in the teaching of Christ. But some alchemists and some superstitious folk believed that the words spoken in the canon of the mass (in Latin) were some kind of magic incantation. HOC EST ENIM CORPUS MEUM which became in the common mind...

Is your creed catholic, Catholic, or Christian?

In face to face conversations people who hold beliefs similar to Josiah or MennoSota will state their peace and not bother to condemn anybody who disagrees - even if in their minds they think ill of any who disagree - because in face to face conversation people (most people I mean) have learned...

You are wrong. It is the people who did good that inherit the kingdom. And the people who did no good are judged & condemned to eternal punishment. Matthew 25:34 Then the King shall say to those who will be on his right: ‘Come, you blessed of my Father. Possess the kingdom prepared for you...

    Window into the past.

Technology marches on and on. People speculated about job losses in 1968 as computers made inroads into accounting, banking, insurance, and government. Most of their speculations about job losses were conservative but some were excessive. We live in an age where computer technology has not...

    iOS Vs Android.

Now it looks like Apple Inc has decided to make an Apple Watch that monitors heart health and can detect abnormalities, falls, and other events that may need ambulance help. But to get any of those functions you NEED, absolutely NEED an iPhone. That seems like an oddly self serving choice from...

What do you make of Exodus 34?

I did a little bit of checking and discovered that the only places that ten commandments are mentioned are: Exodus 34:28 Deuteronomy 4:13 Deuteronomy 10:4 The commandments given in Exodus 34 are different Exodus 34:10-28 10 And he said, Behold, I am making a covenant. The last judgement.

Seems like some people do not think that what the Lord, Jesus Christ, says in Matthew 25:31-46 is the last judgement for everybody. But when the passage is read with some care it cannot be about anything else. At least that is what I think. Matthew 25:1-46 1 Then the kingdom of heaven will be...

    Ten Commandments.

The points you've made are correct for anybody who reads the letter of the Law (the ten commandments of Exodus 20 and Deuteronomy 5, but not the ten of Exodus 34) and applies them as the hypocritical Pharisees did. For the Pharisees the letter was what mattered, like a tricky lawyer they fixated...

    Should abortion be illegal?

Let's assume that they do cross legally, as is usually the case today. A USA citizen (or resident) crosses into Canada nd procures an abortion then returns to the USA. The same applies to a USA woman crossing into Mexico and then returning to the USA. All legal with passports and everything.

    Should abortion be illegal?

What if the mother crosses the boarder into Canada or Mexico and procures an abortion in one of those countries, ought they to be arrested and tried in the USA if the USA makes abortion illegal?
