Why do Christians think God talks with them?

Being good has a whole lot to do with how you treat your neighbour when he/she says "God told me ..."

    Prayers for Lamb

Lord be good to Lamm. Remember her and her family and grant grace to them. Let her come back to us well and happy in your grace. Let us be kindly too. In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Why do Christians think God talks with them?

My sister in Law's brother is schizophrenic and he hears voices but his voices are destructive and distressing for him, they probably do not sound like God. I don't think that schizophrenia explains "hearing God" but I also do not absolutely rule it out.

    Voting your moral values.

I would not have voted for Donald. I might have voted for Hillary but probably wouldn't have. Most likely I would have voted for somebody not from the Democrats or the Republicans.

Why do Christians think God talks with them?

Catholics manage to cope with differences between people's experiences. Some are charismatic, they probably speak in tongues like Pentecostals do many are not charismatic and no more speak in tongues than would a conservative Presbyterian. Nobody gets very upset about what the others do...

end of the world happening this coming Saturday

William Miller tried the date switch trick in the nineteenth century. The aftermath of his failed predictions was the creation of Adventism; both the Seventh Day Adventists and Jehovah's witnesses arose from his followers though the pathway to creating Jehovah's witnesses was indirect.

USA "EVANGELICALS" - What's Behind the Huge Support of Trump?

Donald is a "strong man" with lots of bluster and heaps of twitter hot air so he is naturally attractive to folk who value long sermons and exaggerated statements about the weakness and puniness of one's perceived enemies. So "moral values" sink gently under the horizon - as is often true for...

If you wanted to live in another country which one would it be?

Martin would have felt better had he lived in Australia or Canada. The free medical care would have helped with the guilt thing :P

If you wanted to live in another country which one would it be?

Poor old Martin was rather guilt ridden even as a Catholic and the condition did not improve when he started his own denomination :smirk:

Why do Christians think God talks with them?

Saint Peter of blessed memory was the first pope. He was also the longest serving pope. But I freely admit to having a little chuckle every time a chap (or a lady) gets all worked up about popes and Catholicism. God uses creation - as a matter of fact the bible is comprehensible only in the...
