    Knowledge of history (how people lived, thought, worshipped) can improve bible studies as we toss aside our modern viewpoints! Some examples of modern views causing distortion can be "the land of milk and honey". Most Americans would think immediately of cow's milk and bee honey, yet...

    A history lesson here needs to be made on what "household" was in biblical times and how the unit was considered and not the individual. Also it needs to be known of how the servants and slaved followed what beliefs the "head" held to be true which is far different from any type of paid servant...

    It's not impossible for you to remember those things! I have memories from when I was very young as well! I have memories of hiding under the hutch when people came over and the last time I looked at that hutch at my parent's house it's super tiny underneath! LOL I remember hated being picked up...

    All of the commandments go back to the first commandment. If you've broken any of the 10 then you've broken the first. When we covet something or someone we turn that into a god and we have broken the first commandment. I like this link on the topic...

    There are people who don't believe Jesus died for all so how do they go out into the world and proclaim the Gospel in all its sweetness and let people know that Jesus died for them?

    It's already 47 degrees F this morning at 9:30 and what's weird is that the forecast says the high should only be 47 LOL I have a feeling it's going to get warmer now that the sun is out! Hiking weather!

    Someone did something nice for me today thread

    Yesterday we had our street repaved and the guys did us a great favor by paving part of our driveway that was all cracked which saved us money from having to hire someone to redo it. These guys didn't have to go so far into our driveway like they did but I'm really grateful that they did...

    Do you like to host parties? What kind of foods do you offer your guests? Do you force them to play getting to know you games? How about entertainment, do you have someone playing music in the background or come to sing?
