    If you do leave that church be sure to let them know (eventually) why. Pastors often see people leaving and don't know the reason or maybe don't understand the reason. Snerfle, you have friends :) I know it's not exactly the same but you aren't completely alone when you're online!

    I have a very tiny...about an inch in size...New Testament bible that hangs on my Christmas tree :) Yes, it's the full new testament. Let me see if I can find a pic here.

    I do think that people want positions they think are powerful so that others can look upon them with wonder and see how much they're doing for the Lord...which isn't an attitude to have. Usually the best leaders aren't searching for the powerful positions but placed in those positions by others...

    What I use is what I have because I was given some bibles as a kid. I have KJV, ESV and NIV. I prefer to compare multiple translations though to be honest.

    The director of the HHS says there is no ban although the words will be avoided in the budget. At least that's how I read it. You don't hear much about it now in the news which to me means it was just hype to turn our direction elsewhere while something else was happening. And people fell for it!
