    I used to subscribe to a biblical archaeological magazine decades ago but I didn't find it to be particularly helpful except in maybe 2 instances. Even then I can google some of that information...so don't waste your money on those magazines! Learning history will definitely help your bible...

    Slow to anger

    The Lord is slow to anger...that is so true! When God does get angry it's a just anger and those who receive consequences for their sin are deserving. I'm glad that instead of anger that God chose to give the world a Savior to forgive us our sins :)

    I had a love/hate relationship with our previous homes that had metal piping...I wasn't strong enough to remove any plumbing parts to do repairs!! It's easier with PVC I think!

    Paul didn't sew tents for salvation. He boasted of Jesus' death for salvation by grace through faith and not by works.

    God owes no one but God freely gives and He keeps giving...all because of the Christ who redeems us. It's that death on the cross that brings us to reconciliation and it's the gift of repentance that God gives to bring us to contrition and then in faith turns us to Him in faith.

    I've been a child of God since infancy. He's kept me in His arms since then. Thanks be to Him I don't have to work to BECOME His child, for HE adopted me and brought me to faith so I might have eternal life. My doing for others is a product of that, not a condition.
