    You probably need to use furniture wax on them twice a year. Our banister and newel post on our stairs, where the sun hits it, was weathered and the previous owners never did anything about it. I've been using furniture wax like Pledge twice a year and the wood shines now.

    How did you improve your life?

    I improved my life years ago when I set up some boundaries to stop people from pushing me into doing things I don't want to do. Saying No feels awful but is good for me. I say it at church now a lot because at my last church I said yes all the time and it was too much.
