    Yeah, it's used as a swear word. Okay, kidding aside, people tend to forget we have ONE God who is Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Mary was Jesus' (God the Son) mother so yes, she is the Mother of God.

    We are all saved in the same way...by grace through faith. What makes me believe it? God has given me faith (by grace through faith) in order to believe it. It's a connection to the cross where forgiveness was won, it's a connection to the promise made in Genesis that God would provide a Savior...
