    Thanks! I went to bed VERY early and then my husband and daughter both woke me up in the middle of the night. Silly people. I'm waiting for my daughter to wake up this morning so we can get groceries. How is your bird doing?

    My daughter is here finally visiting for Christmas!! It was a long drive for us and got stuck in traffic too many times because of the idiots who thought they were so privileged they could weave in and out of traffic at twice the speed limit, especially through construction areas.     Law & Gospel. That's what is causing so many problems in this thread, those who won't let the Law be the Law and the Gospel be the Gospel.

    We have to speak of sin. The Law demands it. Sin goes against God and the Law is a mirror, curb and guide. Yet, it always accuses which is why people don't want to hear it.

    No one has said to return to sin. The Law tells us not to. But the Gospel still tells us we're forgiven. If we return to sin too much that we end up rejecting His forgiveness, that's when we damn ourselves.

    But he's added some of his own opinion in there. I don't particularly care for that when people are quoting scripture and put their own thoughts mingled in. They should be added after lest people think their opinions are part of God's Word.

    The Law tells us what we are to do and not do. The Gospel us what the Lord does. You are mixing Law and Gospel. Even 3rd use of the Law is still Law. Some verses in scripture contain both Law and Gospel in the same sentence. We shouldn't try to call Law Gospel because each have a purpose.
