    Yet, they were forgiven first. They didn't reap the benefits of that forgiveness until they received faith in order to believe. That's the point here that the cross is where it took place and by grace through faith we turn to God and believe and we have forgiveness...but it happened at the cross.

    You seem to miss the big picture. Christ bore our sins. They were nailed with Him to the cross. God accepted the sacrifice. We are redeemed because of that. There is your forgiveness right there. It's obvious.

    Jesus died for those sins and they are forgiven but at death, those who reject that forgiveness won't benefit from them because they don't want forgiveness of choose to do their own works.
