A Baptist Man, a Pentecostal Woman, and a Calvinist all die and get to the gates of Heaven.
Peter tells them, “You’ve all done well, but to get into Heaven I am going to need to interview each of you in private to make sure your qualified.”
At this point the Baptist and Pentecostal are...
Same here brother, I was a complete atheist anti-Christ up until around the age 30 or so, I was at my lowest point and I began praying to God for help. Sometimes looking back I wonder what made me 'know' I was speaking to the God I had been so sure didn't exist, I wonder how many atheist will...
Great points made by the team here, I thank you all, I'm ok with the three days in parts and not the solid 72 hours, point is he did it, he did it for us amen.
Like I said, if its on a sunday then 3 days ago would seem to be friday, although not 72 solid hours so I suppose it was just parts of three days where a high day sabbath ended up on the weekly sabbath. Right?
Makes sense
Maybe they believe that Jesus was a yogi, like the gnostics have been teaching, Islam adapts politely to Gnosticism as the Quran teaches the Gnostic nativity of Jesus, a talking baby born under a palm tree.
It is rather impotent for them to claim that Jesus went to heaven and came back for his...
yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their masters' table. Then Jesus answered and said unto her, O woman, great is thy faith: be it unto thee even as thou wilt.
:)
Exactly, I would like to ask them what Jesus was a prophet of... why do they even consider him a prophet if everything he taught is a complete contradiction to Islam?
The Quran is supposably footed in the Bible yet it is totally worthless to them.
True and I agree, I just found it logical but I quickly disregard it as it's not any thing fundamental or of value. The outcome does not change, makes for a good and rather swift conversation :)
I like a good debate and often listen to them in the morning at work to pass the time when prepping for the day.
This morning I was listening to a debate between a Muslim and a Christian regarding the death of Christ on the cross.
Turns out it's all a matter of perspective to the Muslim, the...
Something about being modest although the bible specifies that the women not flaunt their economic wealth by wearing excessive jewelry, it had nothing to do with make up or pants (a rather recent invention)... Is cutting your hair a sign of wealth for women? but man should cut his hair? [emoji14]
Yes but when John said "The Sabbath was a High Day" it does not mean that he is talking about the weekly Sabbath, it could mean that it fell on the weekly Sabbath but it doesn't specify, just that IT was a High Day Sabbath, which occurs seven times out of the year.
What these apologist are...
That goes for all Sabbath days, the Preparation is always followed by the Sabbath whether it be the weekly sabbath or the seven annual high day Sabbath days. I'll take Josiahs and Albions explanation that 3 days is an idiom and not meaning 72 hours... I believe the other is possible as well, oh...
There no mention of the "high day" Sabbath in this article.
A day John refers to, and a day that does not fall on the weekly sabbath.
The high day sabbath falls 7 times a year (unless they fell on the same day) Jesus was in the grave for both sabbaths.
