    Purgatory?

Then why does the Westminster Confession of Faith - the foundation confession of many Presbyterian denominations - say CHAPTER 15 Of Repentance unto Life 1. Repentance unto life is an evangelical grace, the doctrine whereof is to be preached by every minister of the gospel, as well as that of...

    Purgatory?

If repentance is not a grace from God then is it a work, an obedience, like obeying the commandments that Jesus gave? You appear to be defeating your own argument.

    The dead sea

Why call it the dead sea? Some call it the "salt sea" and it is very salty. It receives its waters from the Jordan river which is a fresh water river. The salts are dissolved into the fresh water and make themselves salty in the process. The sun and heat evaporate the water. But there is life in...

    Favorite horror movies?

I do not like possession themed films on the whole so I avoid them. I don't watch the blood filled serial killing horror themed films either. The news is getting too much like one of those films. As Jesus said, Sufficient for the day is the evil thereof. I suppose mostly I do not like horror films.

    Purgatory?

It looked like a bad tempered rant to me that really didn't address a single word of what I wrote. It seems to me that what I wrote (Repentance is necessary and it is a grace from God and it is godly sorrow for one's sins.) is in fact taken from scripture. But what would I know eh? :) Thanks...

    Justification or Sanctification Differences

Both of the verses you quoted apply to the process of becoming one of the just (or righteous since just and righteous are translations of the same words in Hebrew and Greek) and the just live by faith which means the righteous live by means of faith in God.

    Justification or Sanctification Differences

Catholics see Justification as the process of being made righteous by God's grace in the lives of the faithful. Catholics see sanctification as being made holy (set apart for service to God in whatever role he calls the faithful to live their lives).
