How did the Gospel Writers write their Gospels?

yes, Luke travelled with Paul and the gospel according to Luke and acts was written by him. Mark's acct is presumably from Peter's remembrance altho it's been debated that he was the young man that ran naked from the garden at Jesus' arrest. There's some threads on CH that pertain to 4 faces...

the most horrible thing about being single

My kids went to live with whichever parent could do them the most good at the time. My middle daughter went back and forth a few times. Sometimes regrouping n reorganizing does a world of good for all concerned.

Name those sins Christ didn't die for

I agree with all but the "whether you get to stay in" part. God's gift of salvation is irreversable. Those things that Jesus removes rewards for would not include salvation itself.

Name those sins Christ didn't die for

On topic to sin(s) this is an exerpt from the last link I gave a few posts back............. Unconfessed sin relates to fellowship in this life, not one’s relationship or standing with God. Unconfessed sin stands as a barrier to fellowship with the Lord and His control over one’s life. As Amos...

Name those sins Christ didn't die for

I think there's as many positions in eternity as there are members of the body. Jesus said that He held no right to where those positions are for the sons of thunder Mark 10:40. But the rewards and curses are from the judgement of Christ so obviously it's not talking about eternity. Revelation...

Name those sins Christ didn't die for

All of the churches of Revelations 2 & 3 had their works judged as a manifestation of their real condition. Whether they had left 1st love, warned to persevere, so as not to lose the crown, or to recieve the name of God, a new name, the name of God's city, again etc. The churches were spoken to...

The twelve gates of Revelation's New Jerusalem

God always makes the first move to offer complete redemption for mankind and in fellowship with Himself. That which is brought up or presented to according to Leviticus 1:9 is that which is an aroma pleasing to the Lord as outlined in Leviticus 1:1-7 and took place at the bronze altar which is...

The twelve gates of Revelation's New Jerusalem

lol Those who know me know that one of my nasty retorts usually begins with - I'm not going to do your homework for you. But for you, once again here it is Job 42:7-9 7 After the Lord had said these things to Job, he said to Eliphaz the Temanite, “I am angry with you and your two friends...

The twelve gates of Revelation's New Jerusalem

Job 42:15 Nowhere in all the land were there found women as beautiful as Job's daughters, and their father granted them an inheritance along with their brothers. At the beginning of Job the daughters took their dinners at a different brothers. Job was very concerned as to what took place and so...

Jesus is 100% God and 100% man at the same time

More on topic Revelations 3:12 He that overcomes, him will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more at all out; and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, the new Jerusalem, which comes down out of heaven, from my God, and my new...

Jesus is 100% God and 100% man at the same time

Grace vs rewards is a more relevant topic than grace vs law which 99.999% of Christians nowadays understand. The prophets of the OT never saw the church age in their view of now > eternity. In the same way that rewards are being overlooked.

ya but you have to show up for every game. Every game was paid for. you reap the benefits of each and every game you attend. I agree that salvation is like a stay of execution from the governor that has to be applied by the prisoner. But that doesn't mean that prisoner has to get his/her stay...
