    PERFECT LOVE

Jesus said that about everyone who hinders infants from coming to Christ. Better they a millstone were tied around their neck and they be cast into the sea. Better that they never be born. Isn't it odd the the saviour would say such harsh things about people ... especially if it was meant literally.

    Regeneration

Something like that. Faith comes from hearing the word of Christ. Evidently hearing in this context implies believing too. But the passage says only hearing. That's oddly imprecise.

    THE ELECT

"The elect" and "enlightened" are new testament words about the people who are baptised and about baptism.

    All About Faith

Maybe he was bored and wanted to post something ;) It might be an act of faith ... Faith being, as holy scripture says, the substance of things hoped for ... Maybe he is hoping someone will type about faith. That would be radical! :smirk:

    Double Predestination

On the matter of predestination all I want to say is that Calvinist Predestination is a terrible doctrine.

    Water Baptism

Somehow I expected this kind of thing from Baptist folk. I'm not bothering to do another cycle of chatter on the subject. If you like being a Baptist good for you. I don't want to be one. :)

    Double Predestination

Why do these guys have beards like that. It makes them look like Islamic State terrorists - except red beards are less common in the Islamic state - do these guys never bother trimming their beards or shaving? And single predestination is terrible but not as terrible as double predestination.

    Regeneration

That is likely but does not necessarily follow unless you milk the simile for all it's worth and doing that is likely not what Jesus intended. Lutherans! ha! Always pressing their theology :P

The Literary Lutheran Reads the Book of Concord

You could be right. I have a hard time empathising with idolatry and Luther is just not pretty at all. Pick a better looking person to idolise :P Maybe this ...

    Impeach him now

Obstruction of justice, campaign finance, and possibly conspiracy. Probably molesting women. Maybe lying under oath, if he takes an oath he is almost certain to tell lies ;)

    PERFECT LOVE

I think that YTG wants to call it self administered judicial execution for high crimes and misdemeanours. :) I don't see that as part of the story as told in the gospels. Judas Iscariot self-murdered after he was driven to despair because Jesus didn't rise up in God-glory and smite the Romans...

    Water Baptism

I do not know why baptism gets people so worked up. It isn't as if you get baptised once a week on Sundays or anything like that and unless you have dozens of children you're not too likely to experience many baptisms as a parent so why all the angst? What is obvious is that baptism saves, it...
