So... What are YOU doing? - Part 5

For sure. The landlord will be out in a couple of days. The family upstairs is great, though, so I don't worry about them. Our neighborhood is always on the watch for people that don't belong around here, too.

Air out your pet peeves here :)

Yeah, we shared mutual words of admiration for each other. I wasn't feeling right because of the medication thing in the first place, and just wasn't in the mood :/

So... What are YOU doing? - Part 5

Noticed the common door (locked) between my suite and the rest of the house come unlocked and swing open. Always nice... Barricaded the door and texted the upstairs guy to see if he has a key to lock it up

So... What are YOU doing? - Part 5

Having a bit of a medication hang-over. I'd run out of what I usually take for allergies, but had another type, so I took that yesterday. It interacted with other medication I take and wreaked havoc on me all last night. You want to talk about some wild dreams - man, let me tell you! The other...

Air out your pet peeves here :)

To the anonymous guy and his buddy in the Honda CrV - if you're too jacked up on drugs to drive a straight line, get off the road. If you couldn't tell from my un-Christian response, I wasn't pleased that you tail-gated me through the round-about, then almost ran me off the road.

    About that "tariff" thing...

Funny, isn't it? I remember him making this specific point some time ago in relation to NAFTA - he specifically brought up the dairy issue. But that's ignored for the preferred narrative of "maniac Trump wants to tear up NAFTA"

    About that "tariff" thing...

Subsidies are not a TRUMP issue. Please stop with the Trump bashing. It's unbecoming

    About that "tariff" thing...

I don't disagree. However, many of those subsidies were amendments written into bills during the Obama administration by Democrats looking to protect their home interests. Many times, the amendments had nothing to do with the bill they were attached to. And such was the spending during that...

    About that "tariff" thing...

One of the things that Pres. Trump did do was to implement tariffs on softwood lumber coming from B.C. Because it was 'local' news for me, it was not received well. Whether the exports (to the U.S.) were disproportionate or not, I never looked into, but it could well be that Canada did have an...

    It's abhorrent.

Are you willing to admit that families, who more likely than not knew what was happening, are in any way culpable? The video you posted clearly had a little girl telling the Consulate official that her mother told her beforehand that the child's Aunt could come get her. That idea did not come...

Saputo urges end to milk ingredients pricing system opposed by U.S. "Canada matches dairy production to domestic consumption, yielding less than 10 per cent of the market to imports. Above quotas, imported dairy faces tariffs of up to 314 per cent." But, you know Trump. He's crazy and has no...

[Consular Worker] “They haven’t given her food yet because she wants to talk to her Aunt first. So I’m going to call her.” At the end it appears to be just what she does, but it cuts off. The consular officer also wanted to talk with the other children - maybe to find out if they had relatives...

    It's abhorrent.

What am I missing here? Someone in the line-up to the border needs to tell these folks what's happening. The assumption being made is that this class of asylum-seekers is naive and uninformed. Am I to assume that some here think this is the case, and that the people coming to the border are in...

    It's abhorrent.

Like I said: "But I guess no-one wants to think that way, because the assumption is these particular adults are just too naive to know." I DON'T BUY that these families DON'T KNOW what's happening. That was my point
