what does god say about kissing. kiss=no (spiritual)

On the other hand, there was during Bible times, such a thing as a "holy kiss," which Paul and Peter command Christians to do. How are we to understand the following commands? Rom_16:16 Greet one another with a holy kiss. All the churches of Christ greet you. 1Co_16:20 All the brothers send...

    Our thoughts or God's thoughts?

I have had many situations in my life for me to be troubled about, but God has taught me a biblical pattern that isn't in the western culture, persistent lamenting (for example, Job 10; Psalms 6, 22, 39, 88; Habakkuk; Jeremiah's Lamentations 3) until God gives me his peace (Philippians 3:6-7)...

what does god say about kissing. kiss=no (spiritual)

My understanding of the Song of Solomon is that it is a celebration of romance within marriage given to God. It is important to keep romance alive in marriage. I was a pastor for 27 years, and my one rule about women in the church was that I stay away from hugging them, much less kissing them...

Forgive them for they do not know what they do.

    Yes, I'm very thankful, @Lamb!

    Our thoughts or God's thoughts?

Amen, Edward429451! That's true to the Holy Spirit's work in my experience too!

The actual Body and Blood, or just symbolic?

However, in those passages he wasn't talking about his literal body either, was he @Lamb?

i wouldent sugguest it but experience and authority is real :)

Yes, God does teach us through experience in the light of his Word as Christians, doesn't he, @Edward429451?

    Our thoughts or God's thoughts?

A very good method, @Edward 429451. Another way I've found to be very satisfying is to read the whole Bible all the way through a couple chapters a day so that after a few times we can get a sense of the whole of Scripture and can relate different parts to each other for good interpretation.

The Holy Spirit in the life of the believer

You're right, @Edward429451, that in the Old Testament, a remnant or minority of the people had the Holy Spirit operating faith in them (Hebrews 11), but the emphasis of the history is not on personal faith but on the history to prove a spiritual point by the prophets who were inspired to write...

you are suppoused to be reserved :) for that one connection :)

Very true, @Lamb! Sin is self-centeredness that often comes out in our actions from our sinful natures.

    Our thoughts or God's thoughts?

Isa 55:6 “Seek the LORD while he may be found; call upon him while he is near; Isa 55:7 let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; let him return to the LORD, that he may have compassion on him, and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon. Isa 55:8 For my thoughts...

are you a member of the resistance ?

That is an answer to your prayer-thoughts, it seems to me, @Edward429451! If you are interested in many more answers to prayer in my life, see the book What God Has Done: My True, Dramatic God-Biography [Amazon].)

Is freewill biblical or something we invented as society ?

I'll put you on my prayer list, @grumix8!

i wouldent sugguest it but experience and authority is real :)

What I object to is the philosophy of pragmatism, which relies on human experience to guide a person's life, the idea that led my dad for most of his life without God. (See the book The Wild West's Best [Amazon] for a Christian's life in finding victory over pragmatism.) Yes, Jesus'...

So, @Edward429451, has God given you the gift of singleness too?

are you a member of the resistance ?

I had all the shots for COVID, and God protected me too. He uses medical means sometimes and nothing but prayer other times, I think, @Edward429451.

(debate) Good Luck The Lord God finding your girl how are you going to explain to she you dont love the sufferer

I love everyone, @Holy999, but in different ways, most of them as God's created humans.

its easy to debate a unbeliver.

Sure, I would, @Edward429451. You've gotten me interested! How did you come to know that he was an angel?

The actual Body and Blood, or just symbolic?

In all the churches I know about, they use grape juice instead of wine just for those who might have trouble with even a little bit of alcohol. I don't believe that God literally transforms the grape juice into Jesus' blood. He was speaking figuratively about spiritual reality in John 6, just as...
