How big is your storage capacity?

My laptop has a 512 GB HDD (soon to become an SSD). So how much does your laptop, desktop, or tablet have? Do you need more than, say, 256 GB?

    Zone Alarm

I used Zone Alarm back in the 1990s and now it is back on my PC. They say it is a good firewall. it seems light-weight and unobtrusive. These are good things.

Technology seems to be moving faster and faster

I watched an old film from the early 1950s in which cathode ray tube televisions were a normal and natural feature of home life - isn't it interesting that it took about 50 years for a replacement technology for television come and now there are newer technologies competing to replace LCD...

    Aspirin or Advil?

While I had my cold and my sinuses were all congested I had some headaches and discovered that the most effective treatment for me was taking two aspirin rather than taking two Panadol (Panadol is the brand name in Australia for the same drug that USA folk have in Tylenol ... sorry not Advil...

I installed Mac OS Sierra on my PC's virtual machine (Vbox).

I installed Mac OS Sierra on my PC's virtual machine (Vbox). It's not very exciting. LinuxMint 18 KDE is better in my opinion. But I have it now and I can play around with some Mac software using it. It will probably last a little while then it will be deleted. Do any of you use a Mac?

    Disappointing Macbook Pro

The new 2016 Macbook Pro 13" and 15" are very expensive and underpowered. One wonders why they bothered releasing now rather than wait until they have Kaby Lake processors for them but they went with last year's Sky lake processors and poor quality AMD graphics cards...

    I like Edge :)

I am using Edge to write this post. It's smooth, fast, and works. I use Chrome sometimes and Opera a lot but the overall performance and appearance of Edge is better than either of those other browsers.

    The Plain of Jars ...

The plain of jars is a megalithic archaeological landscape in Laos. Interesting & inexpensive

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I3k38gafEbU It looks interesting. The android version with a sim card may make a good work tool because it is so portable, it has 4G connectivity and it has a digital pen that's pressure sensitive. being inexpensive helps a lot too.

    Bluetooth headphones

I bought some Ausdom M06 headphones last year they are bluetooth and also have a chord for non-bluetooth operation. They sound quite good and they have a little microphone built in so I can use them for skype and stuff. I like them. They were cheap too. Around $30.00

Will distributed power production be the way we go?

Power can be generated by big power plants or by tiny ones. Solar power is on the tiny side of the equation. Some recent developments appear to be moving to whole-of-roof solar cells that will more than cover the energy needs of the family resident under the roof. But there's a snag. What will...
