    The last time I wore one was in 2008 when Van Halen came to town (I have a custom made earring with their logo). As far as I know the hole is still open. It had been many years before that since I had worn one, and it went right in.

    No, that's not because of his racial heritage, that's because of his nationality I would say. Being denied a red carpet isn't what I'd call a systematic oppression either. :)

    I had my left ear pierced on my 21st birthday. I never got a tattoo (I almost got one while in the Navy), because while you might think something is cool when you are young, I figured decades later it might not be so cool. ;)
