    I'm seeing more and more followers of Christ who won't tell anyone that they are forgiven. They don't trust in the power of the cross to atone.

    All our sins were forgiven at the cross. We don't receive that forgiveness personally until God gives us faith so that we believe. If someone wins an award but doesn't feel he should have and rejects it, then he doesn't ultimately get the trophy, does he? That's a weak analogy of course as any...

    What is Jesus' role in the church? Outside of the liturgical churches I'm finding that Jesus doesn't play a big role in their theology beyond their asking Him into their hearts (which liturgical churches don't do). So I'm curious what is the role of Jesus in some of those churches?
