    Chick-fil-a and Gays

The thread in general seems to be the same narrative of a war between two sides - one Left and the other Right. I merely pointed out that the narrative is unsubstantiated by anyone in the thread thus far, and provided something, I don't know, factual? All may not be "right" (small "r") but it's...

So... What are YOU doing? - Part 7

Conference day one -stuff you already know must be a requirement of these things. Gotta wake up and take more mini-breaks every half hour or so. Just had lunch so now I need to really be careful not to drift off

So... What are YOU doing? - Part 7

Happy to be going to see family in June - joining them for a classic car tour through Wisconsin with a few days in Michigan before and after. The rest of vacation time may have to be a bit more local. I thought of doing some camping, but most of the sites where I wanted to go are already...

So... What are YOU doing? - Part 7

Trying to plan some vacation days. I've found a few things semi-local, maybe a bit of time camping, and will call the family tomorrow to see when might be a good time for a trip home

Are Christians obligated to keep the Sabbath?

Using your own measure (Romans 14:5, Colossians 2:16) neither are we to judge the one that keeps it - he is keeping it out of a sense of duty, right or wrong, until he might come to know that Christ has abolished the Law. Agreed Agreed But now we are back to keeping observances/law. How is...

Are Christians obligated to keep the Sabbath?

Okay... one reason I left the evangelical church (although I might hear such things elsewhere) is for what I term "bumper sticker Christianity" "Jesus is our rest" "We only have to observe Jesus all day every day" I have no concept of what that means, and I would suggest that without some...

    Vacation

Right now it is a bit of a "rules are rules" situation and not wanting to rock the boat (taking a payout at the end of the year and upsetting my manager) I have to do it. So, I'll plan accordingly. There's a rock festival in Alberta in July I just found out about so that'll take care of at least...

    Vacation

I probably will spend some of that time at home going through some boxes and things that are cluttering up my closet. I'm in a rental suite that, although it's a good size, doesn't have much room for storage. So thinning that out would be good - and to do a mega-clean as well - perhaps a good...

    Vacation

I'll probably do quite a bit of small trips around here. Maybe something 3 or 4 days or so on Vancouver Island. There are a number of places to see and some cheaper deals on AirBnB vs. a hotel right near the ferry docks.
