    The largest congregation I've attended averaged a 1000 people weekly. It was a Full Gospel church with two cameras panning the congregation and showing it on a big screen.

    What gets me is the current version of selling indulgences repacked as seed faith tithing. Where the more money you give to 'that' particular ministry the more God will bless you. I wouldn't want to be in their shoes when standing before the judgement seat of Christ.

    Sitting on an Elder board in one church and being the only Deacon in another I've seen first hand all the demands a lot of these pastors do that most parishioners never see and I hate making any requests other than in an emergency myself.

    That would be true for me too but I think its a cultural thing. I've worked at a hospital for many years and especially Latino, Polynesian and I'm sure many others come out in droves when one of them is in the hospital.
