[emoji342] It's Monday and here's a brand new episode of The Literary Lutheran Reads the Book of Concord for your enjoyment.

You need to sit with some teachers who know the original languages and can teach you what the Bible actually says. Remeber you're reading an English translation of Hebrew, Greek and Aramaic texts. You need to dig deeper. Salvation is not the beginning of a journey. All the apostles point to...
You're not part of a church, you don't respect the "opinions of men," and you have no training. In what way are you qualified to teach anyone, anything about the Bible?
You can't achieve full obedience to God the Father, because everything you do is tainted by sin, even your "good deeds." Every Christian has two natures, the sinful nature and the new nature in Christ. But you keep thinking you're miles above us, theologically. That seems really important to you.
[emoji248] It's Hump Day and it's almost over. So let's end it by watching another episode of The Literary Lutheran. In this episode we continue reading about The Mass.

There's a lot of reasons we could possibly point to as the reason Jesus isn't synonymous with forgiveness. The Semi-Pelagian heresy is probably the biggest one in my mind. Then there's reason. It doesn't make logical sense to people that one person's death could pay for the sins of the whole...
May you find qualified teachers to teach you and a good church so you may hear the Word properly taught and receive the Sacraments properly administered. The reason most of the people in the Exodus didn't inherit what God promised them is because they turned their back on God and didn't trust...
Claws is on TNT. Pose is on FX. Pose is all about cross-dressers, homosexuals, transgenderism, and AIDS in the 80's and the struggles those people were facing.
Claws is about a bunch of criminals in Florida, half of whom just want to run a nail salon and not be criminals.
Who is arguing? I referenced Ephesians 2:1-9 and suddenly you want to stop talking. Why is that? Do you realize that Ephesians 2, causes a problem for your theology?
Apparently not. We see this with the Semi-Pelagians and people who love to cater to the old Adamic nature. As you and I both know, Christ did everything, we do nothing.
This guy won't even say what the goal is that we are to attain or how we are to attain it. God's standard is perfection. So...
The second season got better as it went on. I had actually forgotten about "Stranger Things", because after the first season ended, I found other shows to watch. "The Crown", "The Handmaid's Tale", "Pose", "Claws", skip those last two if flaunting sin is something you'd rather not see. But...
The absolute last thing we need is another revival period in Christianity. Didn't Charles Finney do enough damage? What really sucks for you is that Ephesians 2:1-9 makes it absolutely clear that we do nothing and there is nothing we can do to save ourselves or justify ourselves in the eyes of...
[emoji895] Happy Taco Tuesday. While you're chowin' down on [emoji895][emoji895][emoji895], why not watch today's episode of The Literary Lutheran?

I am! I'm on episode 4 of season 3. I like the overall feel the show has. I think they've really nailed what the 1980's were like. The music is spot on. The Russian storyline this season has me confused. It seems wrong, somehow. Like it doesn't gel with the rest of what I've seen so far.
