    I did watch them as I said, but didn't find the reasons for Lutheran beliefs. What I did watch didn't make sense. I may not have read all the thread but I didn't see scripture to support the practise over spiritual edification in the communion.

    When Jesus reveals Himself and the sinner within a human not all will accept the verdict. Accepting the verdict that no good thing dwells within will open the door to grace. One needs to accept the savior's saving grace

    I actually did watch both of those vids. It's not something I usually do because I figger if you can't explain it from scripture then a manmade script won't help.

    Now this is where it gets really confusing when showing a picture of a baby saying "this is David" but it's not the flesh and blood baby. :sigh: but your saying that flesh and blood are there in the picture your showing ...

    It would be better representation of what we are talking about if the film had a wafer instead of an apple. The teacher says "this is an apple", well ya it is. Now put in the wafer and say this is Jesus' body. Isn't. But it is signifying His Body.

    That is not the age of reasoning because a child is taught everything (according to phychology) before the age of 7 and everything after that generally reinforces things previously taught. Before reasoning would be infancy not childhood.

    For the same reason anybody questions ... to get answers. Ingestion of bread as flesh (rather than edification from Christ in remembrance) is held to be the difference so to wonder why the importance in matters such as the benefit of Christ in the actual bread must be considered.
