Luke 13:22 And he went through the cities and villages, teaching, and journeying toward Jerusalem.
13:23 Then said one unto him, Lord, are there few that be saved? And he said unto them,
13:24 Strive to enter in at the strait gate: for many, I say unto you, will seek to enter in, and shall...
I changed the post upon more consideration. I was going by some who said there was a 1 year time frame from Acts 2 and Acts 7 but there is debate on this. Looking at the verse it does not specify when Israel would fall.
Thanks
Luke 13:6 He spake also this parable; A certain man had a fig tree planted in his vineyard; and he came and sought fruit thereon, and found none.
13:7 Then said he unto the dresser of his vineyard, Behold, these three years I come seeking fruit on this fig tree, and find none: cut it down; why...
Luke 3:16 John answered, saying unto them all, I indeed baptize you with water; but one mightier than I cometh, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to unloose: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost and with fire:
3:17 Whose fan is in his hand, and he will throughly purge his floor...
Acts 4:2 Being grieved that they taught the people, and preached through Jesus the resurrection from the dead.
Peter and John were preaching Jesus and faith in him unto eternal life (John 20:31). They were preaching his resurrection, and how that would ensure the resurrection of believers, and...
Acts 3:12 And when Peter saw it, he answered unto the people, Ye men of Israel, why marvel ye at this? or why look ye so earnestly on us, as though by our own power or holiness we had made this man to walk?
After a lame man was made whole, Peter preached to the crowd. It was Israel that Peter...
2:1 And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.
Jesus, after his resurrection, spoke unto the twelve apostles of the kingdom of God (Acts 1:3). The aspect of the kingdom of God Jesus spoke of was the kingdom of the Davidic covenant; the kingdom...
Hello
It stands to reason from Galatians 2:2 that Paul preached a different gospel otherwise he would not have had to present it to them if it was the same gospel; they would already know it.
Jesus, Peter and the twelve preached the gospel of the kingdom and will preach it once more in the...
Hello
There is only one gospel for us today (1 Corinthians 15:1-4) but there are others in the Bible which had to be believed in their dispensations. Abraham believed his gospel that said in him all nations would be blessed (Genesis 12:1-3) and it was counted unto him for righteousness (Romans 4:3).
Hello
You have misunderstood me.
Paul went up to Jerusalem.
Paul met privately with those of reputation.
Paul met with those of reputation because there were false brethren compelling the saints to be circumcised.
I was not saying those of reputation were the false brethren.
Hello
The meaning of this has not been supplied in the passage so we may be wrong.
It can also be found to some degree in Philippians 2:16 in regard to not having labored in vain.
In Galatians 5:7 it speaks of having run well in obeying the truth of the gospel.
So I think it means he went to...
John 8:56 Your father Abraham rejoiced to see my day: and he saw it, and was glad.
In Genesis 12:1-3 Abraham was commanded to go unto a land God would show unto him and would be made a great nation which would be a blessing.
Hebrews 11:8 By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a...
Hello
I am afraid that does not line up with scripture
First of all the mystery revealed by Christ to Paul did not take place until somewhere at Paul's conversion in Acts 9 but certainly not at Pentecost in Acts 2.
Saying that Paul was looking for confirmation can not be upheld by the text...
Hello
It is hard to follow your posts because I don't think you are using "reply with quote" nor am I being notified you replied....just so you know
Luke 24:27 And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he expounded unto them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself.
Luke 24:44...
Hello
Please show me scripture that what was said after the resurrection demonstrates they were preaching the mysteries and the gospel revealed to Paul.
You know that really doesn't matter because the contention is that the twelve and Paul always preached the same gospel.
Hello
I am not anti-Pauline you must have missed this in my post "The gospel given us in this dispensation is only found in the epistles of Paul; examples being Romans 3:19-26 and 1 Corinthians 15:1-4. "
Hello
My point was stated in the post "It is imperative to believe the gospel that was given to us and be justified unto eternal life."
We must believe the gospel revealed to us and found in Paul's epistles alone.
