Is Obedience a Condition of Salvation?

Our obedience is proven only by what we DO, not claim to believe. Indeed, the Lord will never judge or recompense us according to our faith, only our works. :)

Is Obedience a Condition of Salvation?

Only God can save us, and set our feet on the path. Amen. Just as when He saved Israel out of bondage in Egypt, by the Blood of His Son He saves us from bondage to sin. But then we must walk it out if we are to receive what He promised. Amen. Realizing that God promised the Land to millions...

    THE PREACHING OF CHRIST

I did read your article. But again, I stand by what the writer of Hebrews wrote, that "the Gospel was preached to us as well as them. But the word that they heard did not profit them, because it was not mixed with faith in those who heard it." (Heb 4:2) "Them" being those God had "saved" from...

Is Obedience a Condition of Salvation?

You have to remember, friend, that "salvation" is the very first step. Most of what I, and others, share on here is addressing what needs to happen after we get saved and forgiven. For what we DO with our opportunity granted us by God in Christ Jesus is what will determine our Eternal lot.

Is Obedience a Condition of Salvation?

Amen! Very good. You brought up Romans 6 earlier. Oh that "Christians" would read and understand that portion of Scripture. We do well to remember that not a single verse in the New Testament letters is written to the "unsaved." ALL the warnings and ALL the promises are to those who have...

The GREATEST GIFT (Inheritance of Creation)

I find it sad that so many simply reject the great bulk of Scripture. Even in this I know the promises of Revelation 2 & 3 are only for the Elect of God, that precious remnant who truly overcomes and walk worthy. Jesus did it perfectly, and now He is waiting for those who will come after Him...

Is Obedience a Condition of Salvation?

Obedience is Key "And having been perfected, He became the author of eternal salvation to all who obey Him." - Heb 5:9 When we take in the whole Scripture we get a far better picture of what God has done in Christ, and the requirements for those who will inherit the promises of Rev 2 & 3...

The GREATEST GIFT (Inheritance of Creation)

“He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes I will give some of the hidden manna to eat. And I will give him a white stone, and on the stone a new name written which no one knows except him who receives it.” - Rev 2:17 Amen. .

The GREATEST GIFT (Inheritance of Creation)

Another excerpt ~ More than all the wondrous universes, above all the glory of creation, more than any other being, physical or spiritual, (all which had been created through Him as the Word) this One found great delight in man. But to inherit all things had been promised to man, and the Son...

    THE PREACHING OF CHRIST

When we remember that Gospel was preached to Israel in the wilderness (Heb 4:2), we realize that the Gospel is much more than is presented in modern theology. And Paul's Gospel is the same that Jesus and the Apostles preached and the Prophets wrote about in the OT. Jesus confirms this in Luke...

What does Jesus redeem you from?

Friend, I was only responding to questions from one of the leaders of this site. She posted it here originally hoping I would respond. She barred me from the "Lutheran Theology" forum, but still is very interested in what I teach. Mostly to refute it, but hey, as long as it gets us into the...

What does Jesus redeem you from?

Troubling to whom? I am at great peace with the understanding the Lord has given me. :) And the thread is about "redemption" is it not? Since "being saved" is the beginning of the fullness of Redemption, then it does have place here. Finally, NO, I do not have any confusion regarding the Law...

What does Jesus redeem you from?

If WE, who have been "saved", are not on guard, as the Spirit warns US, we may miss out on the promises of God. Can you see that from the whole of Scripture? "Therefore let him who thinks he stands take heed lest he fall." - 1Cor 10:3 (I strongly encourage you to follow along in the 1Cor 10...

What does Jesus redeem you from?

Amen! It's nice to see the writer of this article agrees with much of what I teach, especially concerning the need to walk obediently, and the need for righteous deeds. And how it was what they DID that proved many OT characters had faith in God. I disagree with his belief that David was of...

What does Jesus redeem you from?

"Therefore, leaving the elementary message about the Messiah, let us go on to maturity, not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, faith in God, 2 teaching about baptisms, laying on of hands, the resurrection of the dead, and eternal judgment. 3 And we will do this if God...

ROMANS 16:7 IN CHRIST BEFORE PAUL

There is only one meaning of "in Christ." Before, during and after the Lord's messenger Paul was converted or wrote a single letter. "In Christ" meant the same thing. Looked a bit into this here on CH in the Bible Study section as we delve into Romans chapter 8 -...

What does Jesus redeem you from?

Understanding what the Holy Spirit gave Paul to write in 1Cor 10:1-12, as well as the Book of Hebrews, (on which the Lord has given great insight and allowed me to teach extensively in churches) helps tremendously when discussing what the Scripture means concerning "salvation." I know and agree...

What does Jesus redeem you from?

:) I notice that you ignore the multitude of passages directly from the canon of Scripture which I quote to support (and they absolutely confirm) the doctrine the Lord has given me to teach; and you clip out a sentence or two where I (as did Pail) defend myself from belittlement and mockery...

Is Obedience a Condition of Salvation?

Obedience is necessary Indeed it is a vital necessary aspect of "eternal salvation", and a absolute condition for that "royal priesthood" who will be "clothed with salvation" which they will minister to the nations in that Day. Let's look at a passage directly from Scripture that rarely will...
