Luther destroyed Pelagianism. As a Lutheran, you should know this. Shouldn't you? I teach only what Luther taught in the Bondage of the Will.

But babies die in the womb, never having sinned. Because they are a sinful species. The wages of sin are death and all ills related to it.

    Why Universal Atonement is Pelagianism.

Let's pinpoint the problem with universal atonement. First, it saves no one, this is identical to Pelagianism. Secondly, you must respond in obedience to save yourself. This is also one with Pelagianism. And it spells salvation by works, just as Pelagianism does.

    Why Universal Atonement is Pelagianism.

Jesus died for the sins of the world

Jesus died for the sins of the world

But you are forcing a false definition onto the term world. It means kosmos which includes the New Heaven and Earth where Jesus died for all. Not until then has he died for all.

Jesus died for the sins of the world

Yes, as a fruit of the Holy Spirit = saved. “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith,” Galatians 5:22 (KJV 1900) “And that we may be delivered from unreasonable and wicked men: for all men have not faith.” 2 Thessalonians 3:2 (KJV 1900)

Jesus died for the sins of the world

Faith is a fruit of the Holy Spirit you must have before you can have faith. So God saved you when you were lost and could not find your way. Why would he waste Christ's blood on those who reject him?
