Are you saved because you believe? Or do you believe because you are saved?

Luther took him out of the way Spiritually long ago. Also Napoleon Physically most recently. How do you justify his killing of a million + in the Spanish Inquisition for merely disagreeing with him? Do you think Hitler was bad?

It's Advent; season of hope for all the faithful.

The Bible warns against unwarranted religious observations. Just doing you a favor.

Are you saved because you believe? Or do you believe because you are saved?

It's nice you found a Protestant explanation. You'll never hear it from the Pope.

It's Advent; season of hope for all the faithful.

That get you off the deep end without any faith whatsoever. Faith comes from hearing the Word, not the Pope.

It's Advent; season of hope for all the faithful.

Can you provide scripture to support it? Thinking of Nadab and Abihu make me think of what happened to them when offering an unsubscribed form of worship.

    Driving in the snow

If you can, use 4WD all the time on ice and snow. But remember it is much harder to stop that to take off.

Are you saved because you believe? Or do you believe because you are saved?

You are probably right. Here's what the bible says: What Faith is. “Now faith is the substance [hypostasis] of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” (Hebrews 11:1) Notice that the word substance is the same word used for person when speaking of God in Hebrews 1:3. [Jesus]...

Jesus died for the sins of the world

"World": Many definitions but few will fit. Here's an example: "God so loved the world" Jn.3:16 compare with "Love not the world" 1 Jn. 2:15. John defines the world as an organized system of rebellion. So Jn. 3:16 must mean God so loved the organized system of rebellion? But this contradicts...

Are you saved because you believe? Or do you believe because you are saved?

Faith as a condition for salvation is not saving faith. It is a work of the flesh that cannot save. Only those God saves have faith as the evidence He saved them.

Is grace the cause of one's salvation?

Does it seem? Where in scripture do you find your position? Why would God so love ALL People (forced as the definition for the Greek Kosmos) when it says “ Thou hatest all workers of iniquity.” Psalm 5:5 (KJV 1900) and ALL of Adam's seed are born wicked?

Jesus died for the sins of the world

Your so-called Free Will rules over him. He is nothing more than a spectator hoping for the best. This is not the God of the bible.

Jesus died for the sins of the world

Smoke screen? False info? you reveal. Christ died for all? What about these? “Therefore hath he mercy on whom he will have mercy, and whom he will he hardeneth.” Romans 9:18 (KJV 1900)

Election limits the Atonement. All that the Father gives to me shall come to me.

Are you saved because you believe? Or do you believe because you are saved?

If Jesus did not justify you, and impute his righteousness, you are without hope and wasting your time trying to justify yourself. Might as well party your life away.

Jesus died for the sins of the world

You need works to make it seem to work.

Is grace the cause of one's salvation?

Grace happens when God chooses wicked people whom he hates and then sets his love on them paying for all their sins in Christ on the cross. Thereby enabling him to save rather than destroy them because of his righteousness. The purpose of doing so? is to make himself known to all creation...

Jesus died for the sins of the world

No, or they would all be saved. The poor limp-wristed godling as you would have him to be. Can't do what he supposedly wants most.

Are you saved because you believe? Or do you believe because you are saved?

You substitute an unreasonable definition of the "world" to promote your Pelagianism. Does God love every person born? No. He hates them. But his mercy becomes the fullest when he saves those he hates. Thou hatest all workers of iniquity.” Psalm 5:5. Pelagius denied this. John 3:16 does not mean...
