How long were the Israelites in Egypt?

Exodus says 430 years. But when I add up the ages, there’s not enough to equal 430. Then in other places it says 400. I’m confused. Any ideas?

Is a sacrifice meaningless if it hasn’t been paid for?

In 2 Samuel 24, David wants to buy the bulls of a man named Araunah, in order to make a burnt offering unto the Lord. Araunah offers to give David the bulls for free, but David refuses. He says, “I will not sacrifice to the Lord with that which costs me nothing.” So David purchased the bulls...

If the angels sleeping with women caused their offspring to become giants, then how did the grapes get so big?

“Then they came to the Valley of Eshcol, and there cut down a branch with one cluster of grapes; they carried it between two of them on a pole. They also brought some of the pomegranates and figs. The place was called the Valley of Eshcol, because of the cluster which the men of Israel cut down...

Do you think there’s a possibility that the Great Isaiah Scroll is a fake?

After all, what are the odds that an almost completely in-tact scroll would be found when everything else is in fragments? Sounds suspicious.

Why do people say that Tobit 1:15 is historically mistaken?

“When Shalmaneser died and his son Sennacherib reigned in his place, the roads were unstable and I could no longer travel to Media.” -Tobit 1:15, (OSB) Why is this historically wrong? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Do you think that Christians should take up arms and demand public schools to teach Creation Science under threat of violent force?

I mean, think about the Maccabees. They didn’t politely ask the Greeks to please stop polluting the temple. No, they fought them with swords, spears, and arrows and forced them out. But the “peaceful” Jews refused to fight on the Sabbath, and a thousand of them were slaughtered. Sent from my...

Is the Bible telling me to buy Dogecoin?

“I counsel you to buy from Me gold refined in the fire, that you may be rich; and white garments, that you may be clothed, that the shame of your nakedness may not be revealed; and anoint your eyes with eye salve, that you may see.” -Revelation 3:18...

Bible contradiction: Did David pretend madness before Achish or Abimelech?

Psalm 34 says it was Abimelech who David pretended madness before: But 1 Samuel 21 says it was Achish: Which one was it? How do we solve this contradiction? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Do you think that perhaps there might be a Biblical explanation for Bigfoot?

I made a YouTube video which explains the mention of unicorns in the King James Bible. And people have commented asking if I can also explain Bigfoot. I haven’t honestly done much research on Bigfoot, and I actually have no clue what to even explain. Any ideas? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

How come every time we take communion at church, they say we’re taking the “elements”?

I’ve studied the periodic table, and bread and wine are not one of them. The early church called it the Eucharist. How come I’ve never heard that word in church before? Are they afraid of it because it sounds too Catholic? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Do you believe Christians ought to practice their 2nd amendment rights by owning assault weapons?

Some Christian groups like Anabaptist, Mennonite, and Amish believe in “non-resistance” where they don’t fight back if someone attacks them, and they won’t volunteer to join the army. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

What are some good scriptural insights that you get out of the book of Judith?

Here’s one thing I find really cool about the holy, canonical book of Judith: In Genesis, it says that the seed of the woman will crush the head of the serpent. And here we find in the book of Judith, it’s a woman who cuts off the head of Holofernes, the enemy general. And this takes place only...

Why did Athanasius and Melito of Sardis say that Esther doesn’t belong in the canon of scripture?

What was it about Esther that caused them to think that it’s apocryphal and an invention of heretics? And do you think they might be right? I really like the book of Esther. But then again, it’s not quoted or referenced by Jesus or the apostles in any of the New Testament books. I mean, in the...

I’ve heard it said that it’s mainly evangelical Christians who refuse to get the vaccine

Do you think there’s a reason for that? Maybe because we trust in God’s protection? Maybe because we believe the virus is here to kill the wicked and not the righteous?

What is the Biblical definition of usury, and does the Bible say it’s sinful?

In Matthew’s gospel, Jesus said: “Thou oughtest therefore to have put my money to the exchangers, and then at my coming I should have received mine own with usury.” -Matthew 25:27 https://www.biblegateway.com/passage?search=Matthew%2025:27&version=KJV In Luke, Jesus said: “Wherefore then...

What was it historically that set Catholics down the path of believing Mary stayed a virgin her whole life?

Most of the Catholics I’ve talked to want to argue the point that Mary remained a virgin her whole life. But the New Testament never specifies this. In fact, it insinuates the opposite. It says Joseph refrained from sleeping with Mary until after Jesus was born, which makes it sound like he...
