Come on, be objective, honest, and admit that Matthew 16:18 is about saint Peter.

Just trying to answer your questions. Just curious. are you a DRB only person? I've heard that there are some in the Catholic church who do not accept any other translation. Just as there are KJV only protestants (mostly Independent Fundamentalist Baptist).

You are the one making these claims that go against historic Christianity and accepted Christian belief. It is not up to me, or anyone to proves those things are true. It is up to the one making the claim to prove that their claim is true.

    Shout out to Family Radio

Family Radio has a stream of Christmas music in their App that is 100% sacred music and scripture reading. One thing that annoys me about Christian radio is some stations play the same playlist as secular stations at Christmas. They will throw Frosty the Snowman in with Silent Night.

    1. Because the majority of translations, even Catholic accept translations, agree with the translations I posted. The DYA is an outlier. For instance, the New Catholic Bible says: 19 Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son...

    Crazy Christian Theology

What you are doing is saying that you are smarter than everyone else. Not just everyone who participates on this forum, but everyone in all of Christian history. All the Theologians, Historians, Bible Scholars, Linguist, Pastors, Priest, Philosophers, and laity are all misinformed and don't...

Come on, be objective, honest, and admit that Matthew 16:18 is about saint Peter.

No, it is prescriptive. Most translations do not say "going", it says "Go" 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in[b] the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you...

    Crazy Christian Theology

Did this minister stop using Luke, Acts, the Pauline Letters, Hebrews and Peters writings as part of his teaching and in his sermons? So he dismissed you completely. So he has dismissed you completely and is ignoring you. Despite your repeated attempts to engage him. My guess is the...

Come on, be objective, honest, and admit that Matthew 16:18 is about saint Peter.

Again, that is descriptive, not prescriptive. That doesn't mean that anyone else had the power to lay hands on someone and them receive the Holy Spirit. It also doesn't mean that this was the normative way someone receives the Holy Spirit. Ephesians tells us that 13 In him you also, when...

    Crazy Christian Theology

You haven't provided any details. Just unsubstantiated claims. Are there any respected leaders who will confirm your claims? After all, for something to be proven true you need eyewitnesses of the truth who can corroborate what you claim is true. Who is willing to do that for you?

There are a lot of people that have claimed to have visions that are complete bunk. And everyone of those people knew their visions were from God.

@Lamb He denies that ALL of the Bible was inspired by God. He leaves out all of the New Testament except Matthew, Mark, John, John's epistles and Revelation. Quoting Paul or Peter or Hebrews means nothing to him.

Come on, be objective, honest, and admit that Matthew 16:18 is about saint Peter.

You are reading Catholic teaching into these events. Yes, Paul laid hands on Timothy and Titus to affirm them in the ministry. This however, is descriptive, not prescriptive. It is describing an event that happened, not giving instruction/command that this is how it must happen forevermore...

Are you denying that John said "they went out from us"? Who is John talking about, if not the church?

Come on, be objective, honest, and admit that Matthew 16:18 is about saint Peter.

I'm aware. I don't believe Apostolic Succession as understood by the Catholic church to be a valid apostolic teaching. Scripture never commands or gives an example of the Apostles appointing successors with the same gifts and authority. It does show them appointed the first generation of...

Come on, be objective, honest, and admit that Matthew 16:18 is about saint Peter.

What are the false teachings of the New Testament? How do you know they are false? 18 Children, it is the last hour, and as you have heard that antichrist is coming, so now many antichrists have come. Therefore we know that it is the last hour. 19 They went out from us, but they were not of...

Come on, be objective, honest, and admit that Matthew 16:18 is about saint Peter.

I would argue that all who are called to be pastors of a local church is a successor of Peters. Christ was basically calling Peter to be a Shepherd/Pastor of the church. However, as the church grew other pastors/elders grew up from the church. These were men set aside to lead local...

And the Christian religious leaders in the 1st and 2nd Century and 3rd centuries, right up today, believe the New Testament is the word of God. We know this because the earliest Christians quoted and taught the New Testament text, even before a "canon" became the universally accepted writings...

Where is your proof the Deuteronomy is the Word of God and the Law given is the Law given by God? It was a book written and chosen by men, who claimed it is the word of God.

Come on, be objective, honest, and admit that Matthew 16:18 is about saint Peter.

That is all I needed to know. Because I believe that God is sovereign and was able to deliver His written word to mankind and God enable His people to hear His voice. And that His people recognized His voice and, through a process, ultimately chose the books God preordained to be chosen...

Then my post was correct "Great, another person who thinks that the New Testament, in its current form, that was/is affirmed by a consensus of Christians throughout history, is wrong." Inerrancy is without error. If you believe it has errors then you believe it is wrong.
