Even without faith Jesus is still Savior

But if Jesus came to save all and shed his blood for all, doesn't it make it make him somewhat of a failure if he isn't successful in actually saving all? Just wondering? :)

Next year, I should go with something along these lines.

    Pentecost Sunday!

They gave us red flame-shaped pieces of paper to attach to our Sunday best today.

    Storm at Sea

I think it's a little unfair to blame God (or the devil, for that matter) for a lot of the things that come our way. Often it's our own fault.

[Split] Very Liberal Christianity Abortion/Pro-Life posts

The modern right wing gets Christians to vote against everything Jesus talked about by talking about abortion, which Jesus never talked about. -- John Fugelsang.

    Storm at Sea

I agree that in the specific account, fear was a factor, but in other instances it may not be. It's only common sense to ask for help, methinks ... and to continue to try on one's own in case Jesus feels lazy that day or one can't awaken him. ;)

    Frippery, Junk, or Rubbish

This comes from a crisis discussion in the Chatbox; the very foundation of the Church may depend upon it. In your opinion, what are frippery, junk, and rubbish? How do they relate to each other, and how has Hyacinth Bucket influenced this in your life?

    Pentecost Sunday!

The clergy of most litugical churches will wear red. The antepedia will also be red. Interestingly, most Pentecostal churches don't mark the day in any way, as they do not follow the Church Calendar with its attending feast days.

    Memorial Day weekend

Canada has Remembrance Day, but it's not a holiday for going to the beach or celebrating. It's a sombre occasion. The way that many in the US observe Memorial Day has always baffled me.

    Very Liberal Christianity

What I mean by those things is the most straightforward way of understanding them possible, and that, when looked at in the proper context, those things aren't actually condemned by Scripture.
