The topic comes from a little rhyme that Gordon Clarke wrote in his book What Do Presbyterians Believe I think he thought that some Presbyterians believed nothing at the time he was writing in the 1960s.
So, are we, as Christians, free from the law and is that a blessed condition and does it...
In a typical Catholic Church the priest is answerable to the local bishop and is the administrator of the parish; the deacon(s) assist him, the parish council advises him, and so does the finance committee.
The Catholic Church, through a declaration by saint John Paul II, refuses to ordain women to the priesthood, to ordination as a bishop, and, thus far, to the diaconate. Saint John Paul II wrote "Wherefore, in order that all doubt may be removed regarding a matter of great importance, a matter...
He found that his wife had left behind several iPads and a few Samsung tablets, so he is experiencing an excess of tablets, so I repurposed the old Teclast T30 Tablet. It will become my high-risk exposure device ... muhahahaha
The statement that was highlighted in one of my posts (#24) is heretical, but what he really means and if he really intends to teach that God was never born and that Blessed Mary gave birth only to the humanity of the Lord Jesus Christ I cannot say with certainty.
Technically it would be hard...

I agree that he may not intend to teach a heresy in Christology. His sermon is mainly a set of "horror quotes" (horror from his perspective) which he takes to be offensively elevating to Blessed Mary, and in his horror he is not unique because many people that I have met, usually people who are...
Considering the use of the English language in your posts with respect to the Catholic Church I cannot help but chuckle at your expressed hope.
PS: let's not make an issue out of the other place, it provided a useful conversation thread regarding what John MacArthur teaches and broadcasts...
It's "ChristianForums.com" and I call it the other place because a number of people here fled that place because of various reasons to do with site management etc.
It may seem so to you but in reality very few Catholics that I know, and I do know many, fail to understand that venerating Blessed Mary is not worshipping Blessed Mary as if she is God. There is no fine line among Catholics but there appears to be a perception among some Protestants that such a...
The one who brought it all up is John MacArthur and he is no Catholic. And the immediate cause for me posting this thread is the things said (and written in a transcript of the sound recording) in the sermon that John MacArthur preached, and which was mentioned by a Protestant in "the other...
