But it's been speculated about for several thousand years by a multitude of people with no definitive conclusion emerging.

You're right about that, it is the number of a man. Don't know why I always seem to equate that with being a man's name but that's how I always seem to think about it.

To be truthful, I really don't study Revelation with a great deal of interest since it isn't something I expect to see fulfilled in my life (unless things happen real quick like). Most of my knowledge of it comes through listening to those who know far more than I do and looking up the scriptures they use to explain their views.
