What? Oh hey im new to this thread. Yo dudes. The earth is a globe, by the way. But I have some questions anyway.
How do flat earthers explain time zones?
If the earth is flat..whats on the other side? Dirt? Ice? Im genuinely curious.
Why do the thousands of photos from NASA show the earth as a round globe?
Are all the other planets flat too?
Most of these questions can be answered reading through this thread and also the other thread "NASA AND FACEBOOK TRICKED YOU" located in the News section. However, I'll offer brief answers:
1. On FEM (Flat Earth Model) the sun spirals above the flat earth, it is much smaller than on Heliocentric model, and much closer as well. Time zones work because the FE believer is not under the belief that his eyes can see for millions/trillions of miles. Since the sun is smaller, it disappears from his vision like anything else would - due to the vanishing point of his perspective. That being said, the sun is still much larger than most things, so there is atmospheric conditions to take into account on how it appears to "set" or "rise".
2. Flat eather's are currently in 2 camps. Camp number one is the Dome model - or Firmament model. This is the biblical model, btw - but as far as I am aware the bible may not be the only one to describe it. The other camp dismisses a dome and believes we live on some sort of giant ice sheet and are simply one "pond" in an array of possibly 1 more many more. They regard this as an "infinite plane" - or at least a plane beyond our own. I happen to dismiss this latter version as not fitting with all the data we have. So to answer your question "What's on the other side" - it's either A) nothing beyond the dome except Heaven(above) and Sheol (below) and those extra places described in the book of Enoch OR B) more land. Those are my understandings - there may be others by other flat earthers. Many might say that either of those is a big question mark since neither can currently be proven and it takes a level of faith to believe either.
3. NASA photos are proven frauds on many many levels. Numerous people have caught and shown them clearly using CGI in their images of our "Globe Earth". They have been faking it since the moon landings.
4. To most Flat earther's I know the planets are understood to be stars (or more precisely "wandering stars") -as they have been known to be for thousands of years, and not actually land masses or balls of gas. NASA "photos" cannot be trusted and amateur telescope photography/videography shows much much different images to us than what we are given by NASA.
