I would love to, it was an interesting country. I was stationed close to a city of 100,000 and you would go in town and see cars trucks horse and buggys and tanks on nthe street. At least at that time a large military presence even though it was a civilian government. You had to barter to get goods there as well, they liked to barter you never paid what they asked

I think there is still bartering going on in a lot of the areas around there! Did you barter with things like gum, cigarettes, candy ?

Oh man US money and cigarettes were like gold, as servicemen were not allowed to do that but you could get some really good deals for just a little if you did.

I think you would find Turkey a lot different today loads of people go there for a holiday now.. Been a lot of issues going on to lately...

Yes, I am sure but I would love to see it again, I think a lot of the touruism is around the capital and the western end of Turkey and Izmir maybe, I was in the eastern part about a 100 miles north of Syria

How big is your pool? Above ground or inground?

Its sorta small..I forget the measurements..its above ground too. I've had it since around 2000. This might be the last year I have it up..its sort of a lot of work to get it up and running and then covering it up in the fall. But we'll see.

I used to have an above ground pool. I think it was 18 feet round. I was the one who did all the work for it! My husband helped to carry the filter and pump from our basement where we stored it in the winter and then I hooked up the rest and started the chemicals and cleaned it. When it was time to close the pool he would take the pump and filter back to the basement after I cleaned them out and then he would have to help put the pool cover on. That was always a nightmare because of the deck.

Do you use chlorine or the other stuff?

Yup I use chlorine, I put some in it every night!

I found a new game to play..its called Cities: Skylines...you can basically build your own city, and watch it grow, and maintain it..my city is up to 1,500 people already.

Is this an online game you play or one that is on fb where you can play with friends..like the old sims we had. ?

No its not on FB, I downloaded it off Steam. Its sorta like Sims but not really.
