What sort of things do you do for Easter, do you treat it like Christmas with a big family dinner or something simple and what do you buy in the way of sweets or candy or whatever..

I can remember when I was young my dad made breakfast of boiled eggs with toast only problem was when you hit the top to break it you couldn't and my dad stood there laughing at us. Turned out they was chocolate eggs that looked just like real eggs.. he then made the real breakfast..lol. love my dad..

Thanks to modern tech, I got to share Christmas Eve in my moms church with someone very very special to me  (had some New Years together, too)
Hopefully at Easter, we can share again in a similar way at my church.
Or at least some part of Easter together, and share in each others family for a bit.

Other than that I expect to cook alot and share that, especially piroghies, and of course I will dye eggs. I had one in my fridge from last year, a turquoisd blue swirl, it was really neat, I was hoping to keep until this Easter, but it rolled off the shelf and broke just the other day. Ewww, the inside was this dried up dark little rubbery ball, lol.
Oh well, it almost made it. Cant wait til Easter, though. Even tho every day is Easter ina sense, its neat knowing ppl around the world are all celebrating the resurrection of our Lord and Saviour Jesus at this time. :)

I never have lamb for Easter :D It's usually Ham!!

My daughter is too old to hunt for eggs or to get a basket but I'm going to the local chocolate company to get her some expensive truffles.

Awwww
As a kid I didn't want to eat them cause I felt sorry for them but the chocolate was really yummy, so then I'd first eat the tail and the legs and more and more til you had a head left which I finally ate too. I was a cruel kid.

On Easter I spend the morning with my church family and then the rest of the day is filled with love from my family and friends as we dine, laugh and watch the children play.

I like to go to the Easter Vigil mass, being the first mass since Holy Thursday - there is no mass on Good Friday or in the day time on Saturday.
