It was news, you might have thought.

Just wanted to add also:

The very large areas said to be "burning" in the Western side of Australia (East of Perth but just left of the picture's center) - um...what exactly is burning to make such large fires? What is the large fire's fuel? Spinifex? Sand? These are desert areas.

Maybe it is time lapse satellite photos strung together to make a more impressive image. Prints of the image seem to be for sale so making it as spectacular as possible was likely the aim of the person (or persons) who created the composite.

That's their excuse. They mucked up when they did Australian night time "satellite imagery", people caught it - so they had to dream up a plausible excuse for the all the lights in uninhabited areas. Bush fires sounds good, right? But wait - they are so BIG!! Enter time - lapse imagery over several days.

As stated before in this thread - there were no bush-fires for most of 2012 in Australia and the months they mentioned the images were taken there were none.

They are lying. As usual.

I watched an interesting program on TV last night on 'Angry Planet' They were showing how wildfires in Australia are being recorded to analyze climate change thru-out the world because of the soaring temperatures there and greenhouse effects caused by the burning of the Eucalyptus trees. I looked to see what year it was from and it was 2015.

2 firefighters critically burned in Western Australia
http://wildfiretoday.com/2012/10/page/8/
October 13, 2012

"The fire, which is now contained, has burned about 1,000 hectares (2,471 acres) near the Two Peoples Bay Nature Reserve east of Albany."

There were fires in Australia in 2012.

I'm not sure you know there are other reasons for satellites to pick up bright spots on the earth. I read recently about glowing sea life, fishermen and how they fish can emit light(see link and quote below), oil fields, as well as natural earth phenomena

http://www.news.com.au/technology/s...n/news-story/f53dcbe250c3ef8d3466bab3ded93d4b
"It turns out those mysterious lights are actually from fishing boats that use hundreds of striking bright green LED lights to attract squid, which normally hang out deep down, to the surface and straight to their jiggling hooks."

The article you quote was curiously not written in October 2012.

https://encrypted.google.com/search...:1,cd_min:10/1/2012,cd_max:10/31/2012&start=0

Not only that, the second link it quotes (FESA, Western Australia) - doesn't have the news event on their archives either:

https://www.dfes.wa.gov.au/mediareleases/Pages/MediaReleasesArchive.aspx?Period=634925951990000000

(check under October)

Both Facebook and Google are invested in technology (drones, planes) for the purpose of getting earth pictures or transmitting data that wouldn't be needed if all the satellites are up there as we are told.

Edit: Update - I found a few other "news sites" that appear to collaborate the story quoted in wildfire today regarding 2 firefighters being badly burned. Be it true or not - there is no news story from that time of massive bushfires all over WA as the supposed satellite image shows.

The article WAS written in 2012 since it's also on a news site:

http://www.abc.net.au/news/2012-10-13/firefighters-badly-injured-in-albany-bushfire/4311422

The second link you say doesn't have that news is because it's a media page and if you read those things it lists it's promotional material.

There are other pages I have found that declare wildfires in Australia in 2012.
This combined with the dry lightning season led to a vast number of bushfires in the areas with a resultant and approximate 5.58 million hectares of land being burnt. http://www.cfs.sa.gov.au/site/about/history/bushfire_history.jsp 2011 – 2012 Fire Danger Season

You don't want to believe things on the internet, that's fine for you to do but don't use the internet then to prove that the other sources are wrong. Not every country on this planet is IN ON the conspiracy you believe.

I read the cfs reference. It is vague and covers 2011-2012. Why were such massive and widespread fires all over WA not reported? Have a look at the picture again. Huge areas of WA are in flames if the story is to be believed.

Er...last statement...hrm.

Lam, FYI:

Google "project loon"
Google "Facebook internet drone"

Ask self:
"Why use balloons and drones to deliver internet/get pictures when we have satellites?"

There are news stories. You just don't accept the news links. Not my problem ;)

For your other question about using drones and balloons to get shots, any journalist can have access to grab photos that way. I would love to have a drone, wouldn't you?

Why would I love to have access to a drone or balloon when there are these things called satellites that can beam images from space over a million miles via the space internet highway back to our computer screen watching things like the footage of the ISS going over the earth? Anyone who has researched knows we still use underwater cables and ground based towers here for most of our communications (including the internet) - so it begs the question of WHY use these things - along with why use drones and balloons to gather info/spread the internet to rural/foreign areas when it could just be done via the magical million mile internet space highway beamed to us through satellites?

If you remember from the "NASA and Facebook tricked you" thread - curiously - the satellites were all missing from the "earth from space" footage.

Do YOU have personal access to a satellite? I don't.
