Sometimes, for me, it is so disheartening when I see, or hear people count Our Father as irrelevant. Some even think they do not need Him in their lives.People do not understand that without Him, life would be totally impossible. The sun shines on the just and the unjust alike. It rains on the just and the unjust alike.Every day He sends brand new mercies to us. In Him we live and move and have our being. He made this beautiful Earth. Why is He so under appreciated?

I think it's because they have never come to an understanding of God that is biblically based on the teachings of His treatment of His family. Instead they see what they percieve to be atrocities committed against them that they refuse to learn from. When Christ died He despised the shame but you never here of Him despising anything else of the lessons He had to go thru and take others thru. Idk maybe shame is too overrated. I do know that when God was disciplining me most was when shame in the form of feeling humiliated (by God) was paramount. Nothing ever worked out right. I just thank God that He also supplies endurance.

I have heard it said by others that we weren't meant to breathe on our own. I get that concept!

I don't know why people want to push Him away and not realize what He does for us. I'm extremely grateful for even the little things that maybe people will laugh at. Like, Thank you God for not letting me trip as I enter my house! Thank you for watering my grass so I don't have a brown lawn. Thank you for not letting me put a run in my pantyhose because I chipped a nail. LOL

I wish I could remember if it was on this board or on Facebook where someone said birth wasn't a miracle because if it were then death would be one too. Have you heard anyone say that? Was that on here?

I agree there is no excuse. Even the heavens declare the glory of God. And the more you think about it the more obvious it becomes.

People like to worship who they see in the mirror. To embrace God as God means dethroning self.

Amen. And people blame God for things that satan is doing in their lives.God get the blame for sickness. But the word of our Father says He is the God that heals us. Who are we going to believe. Trouble in our lives is meant to build the endurance that you speak of Cass. We don't like it but the word of God promises us that He works everything fof our good, for those who love Him and are called according to His purpose.

That's the WORST! :=D:

Amen!
And He is the author and finisher of our faith, giving us the ability and opportunity to believe in and get to know Him. Amazing grace! Oh, how I want that in my life, brother!

Amen, thank God for small favors.:lol: I do that too. And I tell my family to do that also. When I was in 7th grade, my teacher taught us the hymn Count Your Blessings.Singing that song helped me in so many ways. I will never forget that lady. She taught more than reading, writing and arithmetic. That is missing today imho.

(Edit) No Lam, I have never heard that saying.

Why is it on this site many of the posted videos wont play? Its a yellow window with an arrow in it, but I hit the arrow, and it goes blank. But if I hit re-quote, it comes up as a youtube link in blue letters in the re-post window but it still wont link (Some vids i can hit play and watch right on site)

I just wonder about the mindset that thinks that life, health and prosperity is self generated. The scriptures tells us that with Him we can do everything. Without Him we can do nothing. Has mankind fallen so far into iniquity that he does not recognize the blessings that he has. Is man so ungrateful or unappreciative?

Yep, exactly. But try and tell them that and their blood will boil.

Oh yes! But, TBH nobody likes for someone else to point out their faults or refer them to scripture that speaks to a situation. I get into trouble a lot of times because usually when I am speaking, or typing, certain scriptures just come to me. But, if I am to be a reflection of my Lord, should I not share what He reveals to me to unbelievers? Please give your honest belief about this.

I do but I tread lightly wanting the truth to take root. What I try to do is use myself as an example so they don't take it so personally.

Perspectives differ about what makes life good. Some people seem happy without any religion. I think that belief in God is helpful but not everybody is like me.

The pagans think they see gods everywhere in nature and give worship to what they think they see but it isn't really truth and they push out the truth of the true God because then they'd be wrong if they admitted that one almighty being reigned at the helm. It's kinda like they know something is out there but mixed up the message!
